Nope, he's targeting a fight with cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek, not a shot fighter like the one your boy bowed out with a win over.

As for the thread topic, it would be huge and he'd go top 30 imo.

that would be massive. considering how their careers have gone the last few years.

I dont think hed do it but RJJ Hopkins would be more competitive than some think imo, Jones realises he cant take a lot of punishment now and is cautious and I dont think Hopkins would attack enough to KO him. And RJJ is faster and probably works for more of the fight.

I still think Hopkins would win but I dont think it would be as straightforward as some do.

it would be a better fight for jones than most people think he can still look good against the right oppenents and hopkins dosnt really have a good work rate going off recent performances hopkins would be a big fav but i think it would be fight that jones could still win

Roy Jones Jr is firmly in the top 10 regardless.

Wouldn't that then make his loss to Calazaghe credible?

Wouldn't change a thing. RJJ already beat a much younger Bernard, KOing a 44 year old wouldn't prove much.

If Ivan Calderon knocked out Nicolai Valuev today, where would he rank P$P ATG?

This is a ridiculous question. Jones and Hopkins could fight each other a thousand times right now and I'd bet against Jones winning a single one of them. The only question would be whether the fight ended by decision or knockout.

Don't count. (Like Barry Bonds hitting homeruns over a lil' league fence)

I agree with this assessment I think a fight between bernard and roy would b good actually. As you said Hopkins work rate isnt very high, so Roy wouldnt have 2 many problems there due to the workrate. Makes for an interesting fight IMO

Wouldn't change a thing IMO. He already beat a better BHop.
