    BTW, RJ dropping all that weight to get back down to Lt. Heavy so soon was probably counterproductive. It would of been better for RJ to drop 10 pounds for Toney and Jirov at cruiser than 20+ pounds for Antonio Tarver at Lt. Heavy.

    This is not a slam on RJ. He's in my top five greatest fighters of all time. I simply questioning RJ's business sense.

    Actually, Roy Jones talked about fighting Evander as far back as 1998 (see article here - Link).

    And here (Link), the Holyfield/Jones fight fell apart because Holyfield wanted more money, instead chose to fight Toney:

    So the notion of Jones taking a big payday to fight Holyfield was a very real possibility.
