If Joseph Parker and Luis Ortiz were fighting next, who would you wager on?

h2h i pick ortiz over everyone bar fury

i think fury`s height/ length/ and saftey first style is the way to beat ortiz.
hindsight is easy so we will know on march 4th what ortiz is truely made off.

until i see otherwise v wilder /ortiz is hard to beat

This would be such a great fight, too bad it will probably never happen. One can hope that if they both lose maybe it will happen, if somehow they both win it will probably happen.

I'd say split decision Parker if I had to pick, or maybe a draw, true 50/50 fight.

Ortiz, it'd be a fun as hell fight but Ortiz is probably the most complete technical boxer of the active heavies and would end up winning a hell of a fun boxing match. I'd say the nature of the fight may increase both guys stocks as it'd become obvious how much BOTH of them are underestimated as boxers given their size and height are so similar that physical advantages would be ruled out a bit.

Hopefully the Ortiz Wilder fight puts things into perspective, regardless of who wins.

Ortiz has looked great fighting a better level of opponent than Parker has. Against Jennings and Thompson.

Parker has looked disappointing not against Takam, but definitely against Ruiz and Fury.

I think Ortiz would win a wide decision.

Ortiz. Its all about styles making fights. Ortiz quality on the inside. Parker has little option but to go inside with his short reach. You go inside with Ortiz your more than likely gonna come off second best. Hes a proper unit. He,ll outlast them on the inside.

Wilders picked a guy that will struggle with his style tho. Its really smart matchmaking tbh. Wilder doesn't and won't go inside with Ortiz unless he gets him from the outside first...doesn't need to with his reach. That's why that guy Ortiz fought ran for his life on the backfoot all night...he knew inside is not the place to be against Ortiz. Jennings got mugged against him. Ortiz let him get off to get him on the inside...he knew he,d outlast Jennings his heavy shots take their toll. Pretty sure Jennings hit Ortiz with more punches that fight. And yet he got battered. Ortiz doesn't mind taking one or two to get his own shots in...he knows he,ll get too them quicker than vice versa. Would be a good fight with parker tho cause parkers a bit of a solid unit himself. But he won,t outlast Ortiz.
