That will be only 18 pro fights and yet such an amazing career.

I agree. This shouldn't be controversial at all. Taylor is a beast with a good resume.

Probably top 10, but don't know where. P4P has gone to **** because these fighters aren't fighting enough. I think it would be a big statement for Taylor to become undisputed at 140, but also hard for me to see him as good as Spence or Crawford based on how good the threats in his division were. They all seem a step back. I also can't see Taylor being good enough to step up to 147 and beating either Crawford or Spence.

Not sure it does necessarily as Crawford did unify the titles and became undisputed at 140 pounds before he moved up but it should certainly elevate Taylor P4P rankings should he pull it off.

I don't think so. If he goes up to 147 after being undisputed at 140 and starts to rack up good wins (or beats either of those mentioned) then yeah he could be P4P#1.

The 140 division currently is better than when Crawford ruled it imo.

Crawford has ruled two divisions in 135 and 140 when they were weak and In transitional periods, now he’s in a packed 147 division he’s not fighting the main guys.

To be fair with my own assessment, I don't think 140 has been good since the Kostya Tsyzu days, so I'm not quite as impressed with Crawford's run through it either. I think he's still a step behind Spence if they were to meet up.

What are you smoking? Above Spence and Crawford? You must be on bath salts

Even if Josh Taylor wins (which he will, by KO) he will still be miles behind Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford.

    Errol Spence
    Kell Brook
    Lamont Peterson
    Shawn Porter
    Danny García

    Terrence Crawford
    Ricky Burns
    Yuriorkis Gamboa
    Viktor Postol
    Egidijus Kavaliauskas

Postol is arguably the best name on Crawford's resume and he's on Taylor's too.

I love Ricky Burns, but it's not great for Crawford to be touting a post jawbreak gunshy Burns as a signature win. With Prograis, Barancyk, and Miguel Vasquez already on his resume, IF he does beat Ramirez, there's a fair argument his resume is not that far behind Crawfords.

Brook, Porter and Garcia for Spence is tougher to match up with (although Brook was arguably damaged goods after his pummeling from GGG and the weight yoyo-ing).

I'd say that if Taylor could beat Ramirez, then move up and get someone like Thurman or Danny Garcia @147 then he'd have a pretty great shout.

Funnily enough Ugas (currently 147, mooted to fight Spence) on Taylor:-

"I have a terrible memory of Taylor. We had an 8-round match and it gave me a hook that when I left the gym I went to the hospital lol."

But Taylor still has tough business with Ramirez first and that's no walk in the park, not by a long stretch.

If he wins he should comfortably be in the top 10 imo, between 5-10.i wouldn't have him higher than bud but there would be a valid case to put him above spence on achievements alone..not whether you give him a chance of beating spence at a new weight.

Mikey Garcia was at 135 and he did not want any of Crawford. Postol was in that group and undefeated. He gave Jose Ramirez all he wanted recently. Easy to call the division "weak" now but at the time Crawford was a betting underdog to Postol and Gamboa

No way! Crawford was the Undisputed World Champion at 140 before moving up in weight to be the World Champion at 147.

Maybe he could just fight Spence and Crawford, that would answer the question.

One swallow does not make a summer, I’m not ragging Crawford, he’s an excellent fighter but it cannot be overlooked about the state of both divisions at the time he ruled.

Also as I’ve already said he’s now in a stacked division and he’s fighting shot to **** fighters or guys outside the top 10, at least Spence (who I think Crawford beats) is talking the top guys.
