If Joshua and Wilder were to meet it would need to be a 60/40 purse split.

Joshua is the draw here. I can see Wilders team playing silly buggers and having the brass neck to look for a 50/50 split which would be ridiculous.

They'd have to make it 50/50 to make the fight you know Wilder, I do agree with you tho it should be even 70/30 if you look at recent PPV figures and quality of opposition

Try 80/20 if we are talking about who brings the money.. Give Wilder an extra 10% for belt so 70/30. Very generous to Wilder considering he only usually makes just over $1mil per fight and averages 9000 attendance...

IF deontay beats ortiz IMO his value goes up / he should get at least 5 million to face joshua in the uk.

Lol, he was offered almost that for Whyte and he wanted 7mil. No way he takes less than that for AJ... He'll hold that belt to ransom... Another reason I want Ortiz to win.

Agreed. He's the draw based on his win over Wald. I don't think anyone disputes that. Hopefully Wilder understands his worth and doesn't make it a big issue. It will be a career high payday for Wilder.

Yeah, if he gets past Ortiz his team will go for broke in terms of money going up against AJ. I could see his team holding that fight up to no end.

Oh well, will see how it plays out.

Lets be honest. . . even before Wlad he was drawing better crowds than Wilder.

    Will Wilder/Ortiz be PPV?

Wilder deserves half, as he is the most proven champion and brings a lot to the table. Fight should happen in Alabama.

Very true....but domestically. Joshua is by far a bigger star after his win over Wald but before that, he was a draw across the pond. I'm not sure how popular he was here in the states before that career defining victory. All I know is Wilder isn't a huge US draw. He's got a fan base in Alabama but not anywhere else. It's a unification fight so most likely it's going to be PPV

More gate money for both men in the U.K. It makes more financial sense to have the fight across the pond. The HW division isn't big here in the states. The market is more rich for the bigger guys in Europe

Lol. Even thats debatable. . . Theres nearly 5mil people in Alabama. . . and he sells 10-12k tickets at best. I would be willing to bet Joshua would sell more fighting there!

Anything less than 70/30 to Joshua is being EXTREMELY generous to Deontay given his market value in comparison.
