There is the fact that Joshua's stepping up in his 16th fight and not his 33rd :yep

Why do people rate Whyte? He is destined to be a average gatekeeper and will probably come back from injury with even bigger t1tties.

Martin chin checks old stiffy with that weird sidearm punch that's hard for fighters to see and harder for slow reflex fighters like AJ to block.

Wouldn't call Joshua slow but his timing is better than Martins speed so watch out for a counter right over the top of Martins back hand could well be the shot that stops him.

Resume won't be comparable but AJ will have fought someone of a similar level to Wilder's best opponents, however when Wilder fights Povetkin it will be a different story.

Whyte is not rated in any top 15 for any organisation, is out of the top 50 in Boxrec and the Independent Boxing Rankings and lost the first time he stepped up to someone who I'd favour Wilder to beat right now.

How is Whyte rated so well by people?

I think it's because they rate Joshua highly and if they didn't rate Whyte highly also, the fight they just had showed up more frailties than they'd like to admit.

I don't get why people rate him either. He gassed badly against Joshua, couldn't finish him when he had him hurt and has beaten nobody of note. Yet according to some he will go on to be a contender, god knows why anyone thinks this.
