Surely there cannot be any arguments over resume or anything else. Let's be honest, Joshua destroys Deontay Wilder in 3 rounds.

He won’t have the chance to clean out the division until he gets in the ring with Fury.

He’s 1-1 with Ruiz who had the much more satisfying win so he still has a score to settle there too.

Then you have contenders like Wilder and Joyce who could potentially beat him so he has work to do before he’s considered to have cleaned anything out.

Cleaned out, but only if you are missing

    Fury and Wilder
    Hrgovic and Joyce

He needs those 3 of those 4 on his resume to achieve a clean out.

You need to beat the other two championship level fighters and the two best/most established contenders

If Joshua beats Usyk then it’s the best heavyweight win for god knows how long. I still think it’s a big if though.

    Near enough.

AJ would have beaten everyone who deserves a title shot or has attempted to have make the fight (Ortiz, Kownacki, Fury x 3 and Wilder about x 5) to only been avoided like the plague by them. AJ can't force them to fight him if they have no interest, it's Lewis vs Bowe all over again.

Only exception to this is Hrgovic (who still needs to beat a named opponent to deserve a shot yet), Joyce (who hasn't been that impressive against Takam and Jennings) and Hunter. The first two of which don't deserve a title shot yet.

Take it easy there , we can all go back and forward with this issue but I believe the majority of fans will/should only claim this after Fury vs Joshua if both get through 2 tough fights .
Any other nonsense is purely biased from either camp.

There's still the winner of Tyson/Wilder (which I don't think either guy takes. Wilder might have nothing left and Tyson will not give Eddie the payday), a rematch of the aforementioned fighter, a top contender like Hunter or Joyce, and maybe that's it.

Not much else he can do really. Except do the above and join the UFC.

AJ fighting and beating Wilder for only $50m was outstanding as were his wins over Ortiz, Fury and a 31 year old Klitschko.;)

Joshua and Fury will both need each other on their resume to have topped their era and perhaps even an unbeaten contender in Joe Joyce. Wilder is a busted flush, Ruiz lost in a 12-0 shut out and everyone else like Hrgovic and Yoka are still green

If Joshua beats Usyk, he will be given credit (unless Matchroom decision).

That still doesn't mean that he would beat Wilder or Fury, and Usyk losing to Joshua does not mean that he would not beat Wilder or Fury.

All of these boxers need to compete against each other.

Maybe Fury would be more keen to face Usyk if Joshua beats him, because he doesn't seem to want any part in Usyk right now.

Once he beats Usyk on Saturday, it's just Fury and Wilder to beat then he has cleaned out the division

Usyk beating AJ is far more impressive than AJ beating Usyk

No he’ll get the credit that the win deserves but to clean out the division he needs to fight Fury, who I think he beats and Wilder who I think knocks Joshua out.

None of the current crop will clean out the division in my opinion

The only thing being cleaned out by Tony Dosh PPV is the money from the PPV Mugths - they have had numerous pokings yet this is only the 2nd fight on his CV where he has a chance of losing although he is/was odds on favourite with the Bookmakers in both.
