If Joshua KO's Usyk will he finally get some credit from everyone?

If he got the win, he didn't garner any respect....and some still complained....they are trolls who should be on ignore. They'll have no contribution to the board

He has to earn his own credits, and he's doing more than fine.
Not going to pay him personally.

How much more credit do you want him to get? The consensus among the DKSAB crowd for years was that Joshua had "by FAR the best HW resume" which is total bull****. He's gotten far more credit than he's earned throughout his career. Fraudulent gold medal, careful matchmaking, Charles Martin to become world champ, endless rematches, 40 year old Slavs, and A side bull****. Joshua and his fanbase are relentless morons who don't have a deep understanding of the sport and are blinded by fanboyism.

Yes, Usyk is a good win at any age, but the idea that Joshua hasn't received his just due is absurd and could ONLY come from a blind fanboy.

Woudl it be a good win ? Absolutely.

Can it happen ? Sure, it's the heavyweight. But if Usyk was schooling him again, and Joshua managed to land an hail mary and knock him out, it wouldn't make him the greatest heavyweight.

At this point, I would be less surprised to see Usyk knock Joshua than the other way around... Joshua is not hungry anymore, and mentally the Ruiz knock out ruined him.

Joshua's first problem with Usyk is that he has no idea how to cut off the ring. The next issue is that the few times he did land on Usyk, he received some shots of his own and Usyk got more and more comfortable trading back as the fight went on.

It depends on who you ask. Anyone can downplay a win if they want. He has already fought more top ten heavys than anyone out there currently if going by transnational boxing rankings (Martin 9, Breazael 9, Wlad*, Takam 6, Parker 3, Povetkin 5, Ruiz 1, Pulev 8). That's a lot better than a lot of other heavyweights.

Yeah he'd deserve credit for that. Unfortunately for him....he's just totally outclassed by Usyk in everything but power.

Most 270 pound 6'8" men can't get out of their own shadow and have 2 round gas tanks then get pieced up by celebrity little fighting men like Haye (Valuev)

Of course, such a victory would mean a lot, because I would put it above the victory over Wlad.
And the one who was the first to defeat Usyk will be remembered.
That would change the overall picture of AJ, and it would change the ATG rating. That changes everything, both AJ and Usyk.

Never been a fan of AJ but I was surprised to see how many people assumed the Usyk rematch is some absolute forgone conclusion. Of course Usyk is the better fighter, but short of putting his arms behind his back and letting Usyk land at will, I don't see how AJ could have gone in to that first fight with a worse gameplan than the one he decided to go with....so I actually think he still has a good chance of getting the titles back, although I do favour and will be rooting for Usyk.

But if he were to win a rematch any time soon the narrative would be that Usyk wasn't fully focused because of everything going on in his homeland (of course if Usyk were to win, then he would have 'fought for his country' and used what's going on as motivation...because that's how boxing fans work).
