The way I say it, he reiterated what I said. But hey, good deal either way. I sheath my sword for lack of argument.

You can't say it about anybody, though, because few HWs have his accomplishments. No rational person would argue him against the top guys. You seem to think tiers are okay but specific rankings are not, when inherently comparing guys across eras is a bit nonsensical. There's no logical purity in sorting guys by tiers rather than numbers. It's all conjecture and a bit of fun.

To the point, how many guys are ATG Tier IIs in your mind? Your Tier III has to start somewhere.

But a lot DO have comparable accomplishments, as I delineated.

Look, I don't care if you want to rank them by number. I didn't mean to **** on your thread at all. I just wanted to say given the sheer amount of interesting an notable heavies, I personally don't find it meaningful.

I'm back? Where did I go? I praised Usyk through the whole fight in the round by rounds and since then.

Who are the "a lot" who have comparable accomplishments? Can you get to 30? I don't care whether you rank them by number or tier, but when you examine the historical HW division I think you'll find that Joshua is one of the 25 best.

I certainly agree with the premise though. I don't understand getting specific about who ranks exactly where. Group them reasonably in tiers and appreciate what they achieved instead of arguing endlessly over it.

Who are the 25 ahead of him? I bet you some of the guys you list also won't have beaten the No. 1 guy, and if they fought them and got dominated then I don't think that's a great argument in their favor.

It’s too early to rate his place in history. I don’t think we’ve seen the full extent of his fall.

Well, pretty much every World heavyweight champion has beaten the #1 guy. That's usually how you become World Heavyweight Champion. And there have been more than 25 World Heavyweight Champions. Not to mention the countless alphabet champs, which Joshua has only been.

Joshua never faced the reigning World Heavyweight Champion or beat one.

In nine years, Joshua has 24 wins. 2 losses. He's never fought the top guy in his division. And he's just a contender right now.

This guy needs to do some serious rehab of his image.

Who has accomplished this feat, and what else did they accomplish? I don't think Douglas or Rahman has any business in this conversation. You're gonna have a hard time finding 25+ guys with Joshua's body of work.

I'm going to have a hard time finding 25+ guys who did what?

Joshua lifted his alphabet titles from Charles Martin, Joseph Parker and Andy Ruiz. Those are ALL the reigning beltholders he's beaten. (And he got dropped four times and quit against Ruiz.)

Joshua never fought the best heavyweight during his nine-year pro career.

    And he has 24 wins.

    I think I'll manage. ;)

But again, not because I think Joshua is bad (I don't...I like the guy), but because how boxing has changed and how hard it is to quantify.

I gave you a number of examples of guys who did things Joshua didn't, and vice versa, but consider this: every black heavyweight from the time of John L. Sullivan through Joe Louis (apart from Louis, Johnson, Walcott and John Henry Lewis) was barred from fighting for the title. And yet guys like Jimmy Bivins, Lee Q. Murray, Sam Langford, Harry Wills, Larry Gains, Peter Jackson, and on and on, amassed incredible records against each other and the occasional good white fighter who would fight them. So what do we do with all of them? How do they fit in?

I could go on with this all night. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER with you saying Joshua is a "top 25." I think he is a great fighter, just a "second tier" great I am not in love with either way of saying it. I withdraw.

Yes, but did you apologize for saying that he is going to quit for a check?

Joshua isn't in the top 25 of HWs all time. He beat a lot of b level fighters and a washed up top tier fighter in ATG Wlad. Povetkin was also a very good fighter but over the hill when they fought.

He was rolled by a fatman and beaten convincingly by the ex CW champ.
