Completely agree. I can't believe Whyte is even still in the conversation (especially after his lackluster "comeback" the other day). I mean, I like the guy, but let's face it: He's done. At this stage he's "opponent" material.... and should Joshua be chewing up his time with "opponents" who won't help the governing bodies thin the ranks of top-level contenders?

    Whyte

They can still sell it well in the UK

Just put the whole thing to bed now and be done with it

Let's see Wilder ffs. Yes, Hrgovic is better but I wanna finally see this and have the 7 year itch put to rest.

I never made such claims. I did think Ngannou would last a bit longer though. Why wouldn't he get credit for beating Hrgovic?

Because Hrgovic has never beaten anyone good except Zhang who he arguably lost to and is mostly unproven at the top level. That's usually enough material to paint a guy in a bad light if the fight doesn't go the way you want it to.

You're right you never made such claims. I'm sorry if based on the previous post I overreacted, but the Ngannou fight wasn't a stay busy for a lot of people who are now changing their tune and throwing Ngannou under the bus in order not to give any credit to Joshua. I hate that sort of fairweather mentality and it makes me mad. Stick to your guns ffs.

You may never make such claims, but even Dazn voters, which was millions, had Ngannou winning the fight with 57-43% in favor of Ngannou. This was before the fight.
Also the majority of this forum, claimed Ngannou has granite chin, and no way in hell AJ beats him.
AJ absolutely kills him, and now somehow Ngannou was a nobody. Yeah he was a nobody, but that nobody beat Fury, and was robbed of that win. And everyone who is unbiased see the blatant illegal elbow, that should have led to point deduction, and see the not given KD.
And sorry but Fury fans can keep their excuses for themselves.

Wallin was another name that was going to give AJ a lot of problems, and that AJ was going to get outboxed and maybe gifted on the cards, which was the majority of the past on here.
Zero credits for AJ for that fight as well. Wallin was top 10 in every single ranking as well, and was mandated for a title fight on IBF, sitting at num. 2.
As far as Franklin goes, this guy beat up Whyte, and was robbed brutally.
And that was a good comeback win for AJ.

Now saying all that i fully agree that AJ should goes through levels, and should not take an easier fight. Whyte is absolutely dog**** fight for him, as AJ already beat him badly, and KO him into oblivion and took his chin away. What's the point of that fight? Zero in every single sense.

AJ needs to fight Hrgovic next. WIlder fight won't happen, as Wilder has his chance. Also AJ won't get any credit for that fight. Just like people now don't want to give Parker his credit.
So Wilder brings nothing for AJ at the moment.

AJ should try to fight the best contenders in the division, and ones that he hasn't yet faces.

At this stage I'd be happy with Jon Jones or Takam 2

As Hrgovic is off the table with him fighting Dubois and Parker tied up with the Zhang rematch, Kabayel and Sanchez ordered for a WBC final eliminator his options are a little limited.

Wilder - The fight that was at one time would have been for undisputed has lost much of it's glory with Wilder being taken to school by a resurgent Parker. I guess this would be my top option as it's just a stay busy fight but I'm not confident it ever happens.

Bakole - If Joshua/Wilder can't be made then I think Joshua/Bakole would be a solid 2nd choice. There was talk earlier in the year about this happening as a WBA eliminator.

Anderson - Young and undefeated, but will he even be available given his legal troubles?

Joyce - Would have been a good fight before his back to back losses and Joyce would likely accept it if offered as he doesn't have much time left in his career and any big payday would be welcome. But I don't think Joyce was ever on Joshua's level.

Whyte - This fight shouldn't even be on the table, Whyte is done. But I guess it would still generate interest and that's why it might end up happening. This would be my last option.

I'd like to see him fight Hrgovic just so Joshua can put "El Animal" to sleep and I won't have to hear as much about him.

I bet it is going to be whyte
I would prefer a rematch with Ngannou

OK that was a joke, but whyte is absolutely pointless. He will be more washed now than ever and Aj probably knocks him out in 2

Anyone else in the top 10 will do, but Hearn knows Whyte and Aj have history and the fight will sell to the home fan base

With Hrgovic and Parker tied up? It will be whyte

I know Hrgovic probably deserves it but I'm not that interested in the fight honestly Hrgovic doesn't excite me as a fighter at all.

I'd rather see Wilder or Parker.

Fight Wilder already FFS. It's still a great fight and this whole "but he lost to Parker" is irrelevant when AJ is happy fighting people who lost to Fury already. If not that give Hrgovic his chance.
