Two out of his last three fights were of the "stay busy" variety. If he boxes another "stay busy" I won't be watching it, like I didn't watch Francis. He is 34 years old and has been boxing for sixteen years.

Many of the fights listed aren't stay busy though. Some of them are worthy world title challengers in their own right.

The difference dumbo is that Whyte didn't just beat the crap out of Joshua and get robbed of the win.

He's had his 'easy touches.' AJ should fight another top contender, period.

Who? A lot of them are tied up. I just read Hrg vs Dubois is a thing. Parker vs Zhang are rematching. Fury vs Usyk, obviously.

Who does that leave? Wilder? He's done, in my opinion. That's not a competitive fight. I've no idea who he can fight next that would be considered a contender. Anderson barely scraped by Martin. He doesn't fit the bill, either. Plus he seems to be focused on ending up in jail.

    Am I missing anyone?

Ngannou for one. I never bought in to the idea Ngannou was a beast. Wallin was decent. But Helenius and Frankli Jr weren't much.

For his next fight, I'd like Hrgovic personally. But at the minimum, should be som, eone in the top 10. I don't care if Anderson barely scraped by anyone. Not every win has to be some emphatic crowd pleaser.

He objectively isn't very good. He's another US hype job, in my opinion, and Joshua would destroy him.

The Hrg fight would be good, but here's the report I read earlier that he may well be tied up.

He's had nothing but stay busy fights for the last 2 years. Time to face a proper opponent.

All very well saying this but you equally need a top contender, who's usually undefeated, to actually want to fight AJ knowing that there is a very high % chance that they'll get banjoed by AJ thus putting their own career back 18 months minimum.

I don't like it (the AJ avoidance by other contenders with their sacred "0") but that's how the story plays out.

Hrgovic would be the best fight of those but I think it will be Whyte:

    1. Whyte is low risk, 2+ years after getting KO'd by Fury and about 4 since 40+ Povetkin, high mileage, sitting out since 2022, Joshua should KO him with the first uppercut that lands, Whyte hasn't had a significant KO win since 2018 and should be more conservative with his PED's this time

    2. "Grudge match", history in amateurs and pros, failed drug test controversies, so a relatively lucrative "domestic dust up"

    3. If Joshua wins quickly and in devastating fashion then it further builds Joshua's hype, confidence, motivation and the demand for a Fury-Joshua fight down the road

He probably can't fight Hrgovic, didn't you read the above? Hrgovic is looking to fight Dubois. That leaves Whyte or Wilder realistically. I guess he could fight Anderson but how big a draw is Anderson and how highly rated is he? I don't know if that fight does big numbers, and I doubt it would be competitive anyhow. I would pick Wilder since it's a fight people have wanted to see for years and there's a lot of bad blood there. Whyte looks washed up and Joshua has already beaten him, so I'm not excited for that one. Wilder might be washed up as well but he still has his danger punch and that always makes a fight interesting.

Who else is top ten? Agit Kabayel? Who the hell wants to see that one? Nah bro, Wilder is the best choice of a bad bunch. Tell me it isn't.

Yah I know. If Hrgovic Dubois falls through, or Hrgovic is a free agent again, then make that fight. I've got no problems with it except for Hrgovic being a boring rabbit punching bore and the fight maybe turning into Lewis McCall 2 all over again.
