When was the last time we had a fight this big...

Especially if it was for undisputed?

    1) At Heavyweight

    2) At any weight? When was there last a fight as big as this at any weight? Mayweather vs Pacman? Or is this even bigger?

Mayweather Pacquiao could have been bigger and unmatchable probably in my lifetime but Floyd & Arum snuffed it.

AJ Fury is probably just as big as it ever was...if AJ can win with his 15% punchers chance then they will all be in the board room the same night making Fury AJ. The Saudi's will shower AJ in solid gold bars and suck his tiny johnson whilst Eddie Hearn jerks off in the corner of the room.

Lewis Tyson & Mayweather Pacquiao are the answers. Could draw even with Pacquiao Floyd in terms of purses depending how the Saudi's feel.

Problem is the American market is still untapped for Fury AJ. UK market will be fully utilized.

While Tyson Fury is pretty much a household name in America now, I don't think this fight will have the massive public draw here due to no American being involved. It will be big, but not cultural shifting big. It will be the biggest British fight of all time at any weight though, and the fight will do massive numbers globally.

If this is on DAZN though, it will do worse than it would on any other network. It also absolutely cannot be in SA.

I'm sure Tyson Fury pulled in big numbers in the US. Fury made those fights popular.

AJ and Fury would be a huge fight globally IMO.

If they were smart they could quite easily spend a couple million promoting AJ Fury in the US, gets big names involved, The Paul Bro's, Mike Tyson, Joe Rogan podcast, WWE the list is endless...they could build it right up...but they are cheapskates. Seriously get Tommy Fury Vs Jake Paul as the co-main.

I guess nobody cares when the Saudi's pay for it all anyway! They don't even need PPV numbers.

I could be a good boxing promoter...the legal side is such a ball ache though.

I agree, Tyson has done quite well here. Any popularity that Wilder had was taken Chang Tsung style by Fury after that trilogy.

ESPN, Fox, or Showtime has to be involved for it to be big in the states. Nobody is going to download DAZN.

They can spend money out of their ears here to promote the fight, but it won't matter if it is on DAZN.

I know just as well as you do, that the undercard will be hollow. Peppered perhaps with a few has-beens, but definitely no fights of interest.

You are right about America. I live there and, except among real boxing fans, a Fury-Joshua fight barely moves the needle.

At heavyweight, Klitschko-Fury was bigger than this. Joshua is considered damaged goods at this point and even a win over Usyk would not completely restore his elite status.

As far as any weight, Alvarez-Golovkin 1 was bigger.

No way was wlad vs Fury bigger? I argue that Wlad vs David haye was bigger than him vs Fury eho he was expected to easily beat.
Remember, up untill then Fury was a meme boxer who punched himself in the face and had improved vs the likes of Chisora and Cunninghsm but the fight still seemed too soon and an easy Wlad win.

Fury vs Aj is on a different level.
More like lennox vs Tyson allthough AJ's losses hurt that fight.

I'm sure Joshua v Klit did better than Fury v Klit.

Fury vs joshua for Undisputed I think would beat both definitely.
