Let's look at the facts. Even after round 3 Joshua did have some good powerful punches thrown in there, in round 5 he tried to go for it but Ruiz was far too clever. Had Joshua won this fight, there would have been no excuses for Joshua. Ruiz put a damn clinic on in round 6 with those body shots. I think there was like 4-5 good ones and that empties AJ's gas tank out. If you ask me personally, Joshua quit that fight. He was talking immediately after with his coaches. He saved himself a massive knockout loss here. Joshua does seem pretty predictable to me with those right hands, he just hasn't had any decent fighters that stay in the pocket with him. Ruiz wasn't giving up any ground. I did not expect the fight to go like this I expected a UD win from Joshua however I could see Ruiz's eyes he looked tough from the get go. If the rematch happens. This repeats itself and ends within 9 rounds. I don't believe AJ can change anything at this point of his career not within this short time period. I'm sick of all the excuses.
If AJ won the SAME posters who put him a top guy ,some even at number ONE would be crying Ruiz shouldn't have been in the ring. Just like they will say hes not top level when AJ knocks him out and does it easily. .
After round 2 wasn't it? well anyway Joshua didn't look right and win or lose, we still would've discussed his condition. I'm not taking anything away from the champ Ruiz. Even at a 100%, I'm not sure AJ would win after seeing that fight. If Joshua won, Ruiz would've been put down badly by AJ haters. Now that Ruiz won, they love him lol.
