It would be a loss for Taylor, really. He needs a dominant performance and ideally a KO. That would land him a shot at Kessler or Bute or Froch, most likely.

Yeah, agree. A competitive performance by Lacy would do alot toward ressurecting his reputation. A win for Lacy would be huge.

I don't know, depends on how the fight goes down, Taylor can't stop Lacy anyway IMO.

    Yes - if we get a Corrales/Castillo - Gatti/Ward type fight.

Other than that - JT needs to dominate this fight. Lacy has looked like **** as of lately.

Both could come off looking better but nothing great since both have fell from grace IMO.

I guess I just don't think Lacy will ever look great again, so the only way the fight will be close is if Taylor is headed downward, too.

Would love to be wrong, but Lacy has not looked good since 11/2005. Considering that he's over 30 now, and has absorbed big shots of late plus the Calzaghe whipping, and with major shoulder surgery, there just isn't much optimism for me.

    But hopefully you're right!

Taylor stops Lacy in this fight easily. Lacy just barely survived Mendoza in his last fight and got hurt badly by a jab. I expect Lacy to be even more faded in this fight. It is going to be a massacre. Lacy has a lot of heart, so it will probably end by corner stoppage around the 7th round.

If Lacy looks amazing, Taylor will look unconscious.
