Which I think he will, unless Nate his him with the perfect shot he does not see coming. I don't see Casa giving him many problems at this point in his carrer. Will you count his 8 defenses over 3 1/2 years as part his "title reign" or will it begin when he goes lineal.

Take notice guys this kid could end up being one the ATG's at this weight, and that is saying a lot for LW.

I will still count his 8 defenses and time as WBO champion, even though it's the least regarded of the 4 belts. I agree with you about Juan Diaz having serious potential to become one of the great lightweights. The competition is there (Casamayor, Campbell, Diaz, Katsidis, Peterson, Khan, Pacquiao, Guzman), the question now is will Diaz continue his dominance?

    I think he will

I agree he is the best in the world, but Casa is still tech considered "linear" even though Santa Cruz should be. Plus Casa still has the ring belt which is still>than all sanctioning bodies.

    Juan Diaz runs this division.

Casamayor lost his last fight and is about to lose to Katsidis.

Diaz is the truth. It will be nice that after his next figth - he'll be done with Don King and maybe sign with GBP.

for me it's when he beats the man that is considered the man. And I think juan will have no problem with Casa.

In My Eyes The Kid At This Weight Is Undiputed No Matter What Sanct Bodys Or The Ring Mag Says.

Diaz is the true champ in my eyes. Casa is done, Diaz is the man now.

While I view this kid as the best fighter in the world at 135, still the Linear aspect has to be respected (until the Santa Cruz robbery) from Castillo to Corrales, Casa, and what should be Santa Cruz.

Still I would credit it if he beats the winner of Kat/Casa or SC. I think he has been the best lightweight in the world for 2 years.

What happens if he loses to Casa or SC though(highly unlikely), then he has to be respected for a champion but not the best at this weight.

His reign as "linear" champ won't begin until he beats Casa.

But, his reign as the "world's best lightweight" has already begun...

Diaz is the man already! I don't think anyone can dispute that, we all know who's the real lightweight champ right now. :deal

His reign as undisputed champ will begin when he wins the WBC.
