Perhaps, 140 is weak as hell right now and he just gave a solid performance against a big, iron chinned welterweight who had a serious size advantage. I can't see Malignaggi, Ngoudjo and the like beating him unless he becomes fully shot, but he is slipping. Welter's just too stacked for him, he's very small for the weight. To be honest, I feel Hatton would get starched vs. Judah if the left repeatedly gets it mark like he did on Clottey. So it's possible he could make some noise down there in the weaker/smaller division. He should have moved down anyway. He's a lost cause at Welter, possibly anywhere, so I can't say.
Yes, I believe so. There isn't anybody to worry about there. None of them have the chin to withstand his shots, and the only one that brings the sort of pressure that tends to unravel him is Hatton, who is weak against southpaws.
Unless he further degrades, Hatton is wide open for the left uppercut/left hook and Judah will clip him nasty with it. Hatton seems declined bigtime also, so I don't see why he should be favoured much when he was recently reeling hurt from left hooks by Lazcano, who's not in Judah's league. But then again, you can't fully put any faith in Zab, there are 10 ways or so he could lose to Hatton.
I dont understand why Zab is not fighting at 140. Too much pride. I mean I know he walks around no more then 152-155. He may not like to cut weight but he is simply too small for the BIG welters. I think Floyd knew he was too, thats why he kind of left. Fighting those bigger guys probably takes a lot out of you more then we seem to think.
Is there really any need to have an 'if' in the title? If you can weigh in for a fight at a 147lbs limit weighing 143lbs, then I think it's fairly obvious that you could make 140 if you wanted to. I mean he didn't boil himself down to 143, right?
