It will be a completely different fight. Kessler will not have to come forward in that fight, and if you have studied Kessler you know that is absolutely key. The punches will be there for him, its not a situation where he has to engineer his work. That said, they were bad cuts, it was a pretty bad beating so they are the main things that will go against him for now.
Froch aint no Ward. From a gamblers point of view, tonight may be a blessing in disguise as you may get a tasty price on Kessler.
Styles make fight. I think those two will pretty much stande in the middle of teh ring and trade. Kessler is faster and more accurate, Froch has heavier hands.
If Kessler fights like this, Perdomo could win a rematch. Nah, you have to give ample credit to Ward for throwing Kessler off his game, but from the opening bell he looked a step behind...his slow start was slower than usual. I wonder how much his heart's in the game at this point. If he can steel himself up for the Froch fight and really get motivated he should be OK...otherwise he could be in trouble.
To be honest Ward has really shocked me with this win...he has been fed Krill in his career up to this point, not even facing a top ten US super middle. I haven't seen the fight but by the sounds of it Ward stood Kessler on his head...great result for the kid, and if Kessler is feeling a bit sorry for himself then that can only be good news for a very motivated Froch
Whatever Froch spouts in the lead up to fight about this or that and who he is gona decapitate, privately Froch seems an intelligent enough bloke. He knew prior to tonight that he would be in tough water against Kessler but tonight has shown there are flaws in Kessler's armour. Froch is already overly self confident and this will only add to his belief that he can stop Kessler.
This is the key with Froch, he may not be the best technician in the world but he has a will of iron fueled by his self belief
Yep. Froch's iron will and rock solid self-confidence against Kessler's self doubt spells trouble for the Dane. I believe that when some fighters lose their 0 some of their self belief dies with it and never comes back. Maybe Kessler is one of those fighters.
Put it this way, I think Froch will be feeling even better about his chances. He'll be full of confidence and wanting a better showing, while Kessler's already in denial about his loss and that's not going to help him improve or motivate.
Kessler is ordinary and can not fight backward. He will come straight forward the same way he always does and in the third fight of his career where he faces a top class opponent he will lose for the third time.
Im still picking Kessler to beat Froch comfortably. Froch is easy to hit, isnt quick or slick as Ward. Kessler has home advantage and will be looking to make a good impression after getting whipped! I say Kessler UD.
