Barrera-Khan is a WBO final eliminator.... Not officially yet but I expect that Arthur-Khan will fight for a vacant title if he beats Barrera. Campbell has already dumped the WBA, he'll let go of the WBO for a few quid.

    Tough one.

It depends on how Barrera looks. It will be easy to see through a Khan win - Barrera is way past his best.

If he has anything left I would take him to stop Khan. He only has to land a couple of times.

Absolutely not. I can see why Roach/Warren have come up with this though. It will be a great name on his record. We need to see Murray-Khan then we'll see who is ready to progress to the next level, which is still nowhere near world class coincidentally.

Lets see how quick he is to get back in the ring with Bedis Prescott...........I might believe in him alot more then

A win over Barrera would be a great name on his resume and a good win even against a fading smaller Barrera

    I'm going for Barrera though

Khan has not proven yet he belongs in the same ring he simply has not shared the ring with a world class fighter in a pro fight

He has obviously taken confidence from sparring with Manny Pac

But a real live fight that leather is being swung without consideration and control of sparring

And Barrera could be a class above

I agree, I'll give him credit if he pulls off the win but he will still have to do more to convince me.

I don't think the British Boxing Board of Control should sanction a guy to fight for a world title without winning the British (and preferably European) titles first.

Then again - it is only the WBO, so not really a world title.

Khan looks a million dollars knocking out lower oppostion on his way up

But Willie Limond and Bedis Prescott are his best opponets to date

He was nearly knocked out in one

and he was knocked out in the other

even a faded Barrera is a class above Willie Limond

He's obviously much past his best but MAB only has UD losses to Pac, and JMM on his recent record. It's not like he's been picking up loses to nobody's. There is the weight element as well I suppose.

he should fight McCallister to prove himself best of British, though it was alleged today on Buncey's show that McCallister has a padded record:lol:

Exactly............he is faded at his level.................the highest level

He is still World Class to be able to hold his own with those guys

How has Warren got the confidence to make this fight?

Khan was exposed by Willie Limond

    Barrera might dismantle him

Depends on how the fight goes , I have a horrible feeling Im going to see the shell of one of my favourite fighters getting picked apart by a guy who although being much bigger and much younger isn't in his league.

Freddie Roach new Oscar was done I suspect he knows the same about MAB.

It will be an OK win for Kahn, nothing more. Barrera is on the slide and giving away a lot a height/ weight/ reach etc. Khan winning won't change the fact that his chin just won't hold up in decent world class for any length of time.

At the end of the day even if mab is alot past his best this is a very sturn test for kahn and a fight i suspect none of you thought would happen in a million years.
