If Khan Destroys Barrera (Very Unlikely)

I dont know why people don't like this kid? I love him. The balls he has to take a fighter like Barrera, even if he is past it a little, shows the character he has. I'll be rooting for him .

I highly doubt the main reason he is hated is because of his ethnicity, let alone has heritage from a specific country.

Think you're giving racists too much credit there mate. I'd doubt any racist could find his arse with both hands, let alone be able to distinguish whereabouts a guy hails from for the purpose of hating him or not.

 

I don't think that there is much racism amongst hardcore boxing fans on here, but you only have to see the comments left on Khans youtube content and the chat going on during live streams to realise there are some really sick Khan haters out there.

 

Disagree totally! kahn has alot of hype behind him(not his fault) he`s been pushed as the british delahoya (again not his fault)

I dont want this fight to take place, because i dont want Khan getting his notoriety of the back of what Barrera has achieved, because even if Khan does beat MAB he will NEVER be the calibre of fighter of a Marco Barrera and he will never have a legacy like his.

 

Does anyone really think that race/religion is not an issue in the Khan hate? It is bull****... People write posts like 'hopefully he'll end up in the hospital', 'going out with and oxigen mask on', 'gets knocked the **** out senseless' 'gets his head beat up to a bloody mess' etc (also religious/racist stuff). Even after the serious trash talk of Mayorga, people (well, me at lest) didn't want to see this cocky athlete getting seriously hurt. It's a sport. But many sit down before the TV to watch Amir Khan getting seriously hurt. Makes me support the kid in this fight, even if I'm a big MAB fan.

Not being British, but following British boxing, I don't see the arrogance, the cockyness, or Amir speaking about knocking everyone the **** out... I see a young, good looking, but not standard white/Christian guy, who gets extremely stupid comments. Yes, racism and religious intolerance play a large part in the Amir Khan hate, even if many deny it.

I know the comments he gets on YT and the like are obviously race related but i've honestly never thought on here it was. ****ed up if it is but.

But other posts are simply full of crap, as these little keyboard warriors want to see a young, successful athlete badly beat up. Many of them, while deny it, want to see a Muslim athlete badly beat up. When Khan was knocked out, days went by with hundreds of malevolent, extremely happy posts on ESB.

 

i'd say although barrera is past his best (not shot though) it would be a fantastic win for khan
