It's not just his chin. He is not a complete fighter, or that smart of a fighter. He has NO inside game and limited defense.

Very good points, when Khan fought Malignaggi, his kangaroo style wasn't being used, he was charging in forward with the jab while being aggressive, Khan fought that way knowing Paulie couldn't hurt him.

His skills are just as big of a problem he fights like a mini robot and throws the same punch combinations over and over and he has no power.

And to think we had Brits on here tell us Khan was the next PPV star :rofl:patsch

His chin is just one of his numerous glaring flaws.

Exactly. That was the best he's ever looked. But then when he stepped in with Maidana, he was all over the place. :-(

He has problems on the inside, he stops punching when his opponent is working on the inside. That is what Peterson exploited well when they fought.

I don't know how much of a difference it would make tbh. Peterson didn't stop him but won. He just has a really poor ring iq. Even if he had a better chin, the way he fights he'd still eat massive shots fight after fight.

He needs to fight smarter. He needs to stop doing silly things like going toe to toe when hurt. He needs to use his speed and be more poised in there.

True. But Peterson won because he pushed him back. He pushed him back because he had him hurt numerous times. And he had him hurt because his punch resistance is poor.

Of course, I'm not saying he'd automatically become a complete fighter or anything, but if Khan was more confident with taking shots, I'm convinced we'd see a more consistent, reliable fighter that would be free to explore other avenues of fighting. Because right now, that chin is a horrible burden, and he's caged himself in a one-dimensional hit-and-run style that's kept him relatively safe until Garcia finally got to him.

But with that said, it's a pointless thing to ponder. It's all ifs and buts. Like McGrain on the previous page has said, if you take almost any fighter's main weakness and turn it into a strength, the possibilities could be endless.

Probably had to do with the fact that Paulie has no power and Khan wasn't worried about getting countered on his Glass Jaw. Same thing with how Wlad dealt with Byrd in the second fight he obliterated him because he wasn't worried about anything coming back at him.

    Chins matter.

    Benny already established that.

    But thanks anyway.
