Because he is fast so people somehow think a guy who is fast and has a good jab means he was real good boxing skills. His chin is shaky, not as awful as people say. His skills are overrated ny many people. You'd think after all these fights, after he proves time and time again that he has numerous glaring flaws beyond having speed and range, that people would get it. But they somehow still think that he is some terrific technician and only needs to "fight smart". If he could fight smart, if he had real elite technical skills, had good footwork, accuracy, fluid and meaningful combos, defense, etc....then he would not be Amir Khan. Khan has such delusional fans...reaching the level of the people who were still saying "all Tyson needs to do is get trained by Rooney again and he'd take over" when we were already in the 2000s.
It's like I said in another thread, if Khan were as good as his fans say, he would have adapted to Garcia's hooks. Chin isn't Khan's only problem, nor is it his biggest. His other, worse flaws are his tendency to make amateur mistakes, and his inability to adapt, both of which would be his downfall against Floyd.
Notice how Khan's fanboys say Khan's chin won't be a problem, since Floyd isn't a hard puncher, but gloss over Khan's technical flaws and low ring IQ. If Floyd DOES lose, it's not going to be to Khan.
Sorry, how is Garcia an early career defeat dumb dumb? Are you saying that Amir Khans career prime consists of wins against an old arse Collazo, an undersized Molina and Diaz :rofl They aren't irrelevant and as you said yourself, the Prescott fight was 2 removed from him becoming a titleist at 140, so they can't be that early in his career. I honestly don't think he beats Brook anymore, nevermind Floyd. Khan looks stupid quite a lot, but I think Floyd would make him look a brand new level of stupid, and ends him Hatton style.
If he didn't have that disgusting, disgraceful, shameful glass neck then Danny Garcia wouldn't be the man at 140.
The idea that Khan would challenge, let alone beat Floyd is frankly, ridiculous, and I'm seriously starting to think it's some sort of big joke in the boxing community.
It's not mate, it's just a vocal few. The fight will probably happen next anyway. At least it'll get rid of them.
Who gives a **** if he was- it's irrelevant to his quality/level as a pro. You know whats better than being british boxing's youngest Olympic Silver medalist... ...Being a Gold medalist, Britain has had loads of them.
It is irelevant but all these bull**** arguments over stuff he doesn't even know is annoying , why call something bull**** and roll with it if your wrong
