If khan is a bum, what does that make maidana?

Maidana is overrated.

 

he's still only 25 guys chill out. He needs to ditch the ego and work on his defence.

 

Khan isn't a bum he's just not the elite fighter the brits made him out to be. He's a B level fighter and has stylistic advantages over a lot of guys but that cheen will always be a big problem and one more big KO and his careers over. Maidana just isn't very good and Paulies featherfisted. I've been saying match Khan carefully with featherfisted guys and he'll win another title, he can outwork most guys with that speed and workrate.

He's actually got more than just D to work on. He relies on speed/workrate alone and that's just not enough at the elite level. He could use a better variety on offense, he needs to stop bouncing around and sit down and relax more on his shots. He needs to pick his shots more instead of just shoe shining. His D needs a lot of work and he just does not have a very high ring IQ, especially for a guy with an extensive am background which usually means you're hopeless by this point in that category if you haven't already picked it up after the vast majority of your career has been completed- the old "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". still no bum, a B level fighter fosho.

He only manages to win boxing matches. Maidana was close, a few scares. Peterson, again he was getting outworked and on a retreat. Now we've seen Maidana against Morales. An old Morales did better. Again, we've seen Garcia Vs Old Morales.E.M. went the distance and had moments in the fight.

Khan is good. But he is no Morales. End of story!! What is he? I guess an ok boxer that struggles to win impressively against the higher level.Why? there are several reasons. But it comes down to him not being at that level. He lacks power, chin and IQ. Maybe he's not mature.


In closing; Khan and his fan thinks he is better than he actually is.No disrespect to both but Amir has to be real with himself.Not talk up his game like he all that.Be humble! This might be a hard pill to swallow but it might actually make him a better boxer.By being more cautious and more defensive minded.

 

Agreed. Khan has some great assets, and one major flaw. He's far from a bum.

He's not a bum as long as his opponents are tailor made for him, otherwise he's a bum.

 

Im not sold on khan, but hes not a bum. He has skill, but his heart and chin need to understand each other a little better. Maidana is what he is, Garcia may teach him a jab and try to teach patience but Robert can only do so much!

Maidana is not a skilled fighter his weakness lies in his patience and fundamentals. just my 2 cents

 

Maidana is nothing but a one-dimensional plodder who swings wilder than a drunken street guy. An ancient inactive Morales gave him a spanking and got robbed. Maidana is one step above bum. Judah was past his prime, has been past it for years now, and barely had any chance to begin with. That fight was a joke. Kotelnik and Malignaggi are the only two good opponents on the list. Sadly, their KO ratios explains why they were handpicked.

Whoever says Khan is a bum is a fool but he's not an elite either.

These guys were all overmatched. Meaning khan will beat a guy that he has all the physical advantages over. Height, reach, speed, etc. but when khan has to fight guys who are his size or close to his size he has problems. Every fighter he has had problem with have been his size or close to it. Prescott, peterson, garcia, even maidana were giving him problems. Thats be cause he couldnt just use his physical gifts to overwhelm them like he does smaller fighters. .

 

And many would be proven wrong in the process because the fight result proves it.
