If Khan is china-chinned, does that make Maidana feather-fisted?

According to some posters (i.e. the chin-checker brigade) Khan has p4p, the worst chin in the history of boxing. Yep, even worse than Audley 'A-Force' Harrison..... Given the number of clean bombs that Maidana landed on Khan's chin in the 10th is there not an argument to say that Maidana could now be regarded as feather-fisted?

Should Maidana and Malinaggi have a 'dust-up'? (feather)

And for the record, as usual the truth lies somewhere in between!

Maidana just performed the worst job ever and couldn´t even finish Con off that night. he was gassed in the 10th. In a rematch Maidana would KO Khan inside 4-5 rounds:deal

According to Zakman, Khan was supposed to flattened just by the wind off one of Maidana's jabs.....

There was a strong sea breeze blowing in the opposite direction which kept him up, at sub artic temperatures.

Maidana confused to icicles for the glass on his chin.

Khan got wobbled by nearly every jab Maidana landed but Maidana couldn´t close the curtain. Khan grew up showed some heart and got some surving skills but he still has glass jaw. Kotelnik took like 100 punches per round from Maidana without a blink thats how an iron chin looks. not barely surving once the chin gets touched.

Nah, you cant really call Maidana feather fisted, he throws bombs, and Khan did get rocked by a few, but he obviously trained hard and not enough to put him on his ass i was shocked with Khans performance i seriously thought he was going to lose and get KTFO.

But he proved me wrong and fair play to him

People are already saying Maidana is an overrated puncher.

Before I can say he is feather fisted I'd like to see Maidana against Bradley or Alexander and see how well they handle his punches.

If his punches have no impact, you can say he is not as hard a puncher as we thought. If he wobbles them you can say he is good puncher.

Only little has changed with my perceptions of both fighters.

Maidana is still the powerpuncher who keeps coming forward trowing bombs.
Khan is still the technician with a shaky chin and good power.
Difference is, we now know Amir has a tremendous heart, wich we (or I at least) didn't knew before...

Don't forget Khan was almost "outta there" in that bout... If Cortez, or Khan's corner had stopped it not many people would have complained.
And what would have been the perception then?!

And one of them was an iron-chinned Kotelnik, the other was an experienced and slippery Corley, and the final one was of course, Khan.

Anyone who's been drawn into a gun-fight with Maidana and allowed him to have success, has been finished off. Which says a lot about Khan's conditioning and heart. Even Maidana himself was shocked to see him do what no other opponent before him has done, and refuse to go down after being hurt.

You may also want to add - Khan's defence is not as good as everyone made out. Unless of course you already recognized this. :good

I don't like Khan's defense at all, too passive. He appears to roll with punches now and takes some of the sting out of them & by all means keep a high guard but he appears to show very little head movement and his foot movement is not great. Also what was that eating uppercut after uppercut when on the ropes??? THese are issues Roach needs to deal with, focus less on offense which is Khan's strong point and more defensive work.
