If Khan loses to Peterson, would that possibly make a Khan/Brook fight more likely?

The two Kell Brook fans are becoming as annoying as some of Khans fans.

  2. I tend to agree that Khan would be ****ed if he loses to Lamont again.

Not physically, but mentally.... he's in denial about the first defeat, but a second to a man who seemed like a safe enough opponent would cause him some serious grief.

His earning potential would be limited in the short term, which is all that seems to matter to him and his team.

He's gone back to the drawing board once before, not sure if he'll have the hunger to do it again, suppose we'll have to wait and see.

As to the question, I think an unconvincing points win for Khan would make the fight more likely. A clear win and he'll be right back where he wants to be, a close loss and we might see a third fight.... and a convincing defeat will put him back a year and make him need a couple of confidence boosters.

If I was advising Kell I'd keep it in mind, but concentrate on his own career first. If he wants the Khan fight (which I'm sure he does) force it. Beat some top 10 opponents, get noticed in America.... Sky love him so he's already on the right path.

I think it does. But the best way to get Khan is to carry on with his own career, try and make himself unavoidable - because at the moment Khan is much bigger.

If Brook can pull in the crowds he did with Hatton and get somne wins against guys like Malignaggi and maybe pick up a belt, then the fight must happen.

Brook needs a couple of gatekeepers on his record. (in actual fact he should have had them on their already)

Kotelnik, Malignaggi & Judah have helped pad out Khan's record. Compare that to the Pole, Ndou & Matt Hatton... (There is no comparison)

As good as I think Brook is. It's not fair to just throw him in with a Ortiz or Berto for example. He hasn't even dipped his toes in yet.

If I was Hearn I'd go gunning for the winner of Svencheko & Malignaggi. If you have to pay big money to get them over than so be it. Brook is a longterm investement & if he's as good as we al think. Beating either shouldn't be a problem.

So many fights will open up for Brook with a strap.

Yeah i think the fight happens even if Khan wins. The fans will keep getting on his back to take the fight, and it's the biggest money fight out there IMO.

    No.

I dont think Khan will fight Brook unless he really has to (i.e - lose to Peterson, followed by a bad performance in a 1st fight at 147).

Brook does need another couple of solid wins against fringe world fighters before getting a shot. Although i still think even though Khan isnt happy about Brook calling him out, its only the same thing Khans been doing for the last few years with Mayweather (and to a lesser extent Ricky Hatton).

imo if Brook keeps performing like he has at every step up, he will beat Khan, Brook has more skills than Khan, all Khan has is speed.

Khan is going to beat Peterson AGAIN, but this time in a more one sided fashion.

    Losing is not an option...

In short , i think the chances of this happening increases if Khan loses his rematch , siting the weight now being a problem for his loss , and welcomes the challenge @WW

Something on those lines , but tbh , I'm not entirely sure why Brook is still hell bent on Khan , he knows he has the Peterson rematch coming up and if Khan loses that fight he becomes damaged good's , additionally if i were Brook id be a little pissed if Eddie hadn't secured me a date by the time Peterson Khan 2 gets underway anyway

I was ridiculed for stating this on here pre Khan Peterson

And was bombarded for suggesting that Khan has or had no plausible excuse for quoting " Brook is an unworthy challenger at this point "

Brook would batter him , of that I'm certain

    Most definitely.

If Khan wins good, and convinces everyone that he's back on that path to Mayweather, then expect him to give even less attention to Brook.

A loss, however, would require a drastic attempt to claw back respect. Brook, who'll fight Khan under any circumstances to get attention (including a Khan coming off a loss), would be a very likely option.

khan totally dismissed any chance of fighting brook at every opportunity and he even said not long ago that matthew hatton would be a bigger test than kell, well that theory got blew out of the water last weekend.

Amir Khan vs Kell Brook will happen, but ideally it will happen for a world title at welterweight in the future, this fight doesnt need to be rushed.

and for the record, Amir khan will beat Peterson this time round. In the last fight Amirs main mistake was mentioning Floyd mayweather at every opportunity, he needed someone to clip him round the head and say 'concentrate on the man in front of you' his focus will be 100% on peterson this time round which makes me think that amir will win.

Wont be long till Kell is taking huge crowds over to Vegas for title bouts....

    Ricky Hatton size crowds!
