he had the same style before he went to the usa, and what is an american style anyway? Didnt calzaghe/khan prove the british style was better? no american could beat it, we should call it the western-britain style

are there any aussie boxers left on the planet? still butt-hurt that hatton beat your man zoo....a russian

The fact khan seems eager to take on live opponents now rather than cash out to floyd and PAC then use the excuse I only lost to the best means he has now surpassed hatton.

Hatton fought nobody exept the 2 who nearly killed him. Don't rate him on the basis 2 superstars outclassed him

I see Khan as a higher level right now, but Hatton did have a consistent career. A few more wins and Khan passes Ricky. I think Khan would do better against the level of Mayweather and Manny than Hatton did. He has more potential than Ricky, even if Ricky did more in his whole career.

I think it's clear to everyone that khan has a greater skillset than hatton and will go onto surpass ricky.

But as it stands now, no ricky is still ahead.

Ricky's pre title wins were pretty good, he scored a huge upset against tzyu to jump to the top of the division. Victories over maussa, urango, castillo, lazcano and paulie all kept him there at the top. I had him beating collazo by one point as well.

As it stands they're on different tiers but if khan can beat bradley at 140, if can beat the winner of prescott-mccloskey and especially if he can beat matthyse, he'll have a better legacy at lww imo. But it'll be close and it's one of them things we'll have to consider at the time as it progresses. I mean ricky was really highly regarded during his active years and was a mainstay in the top ten p4p list.

Hatton is ridiculously overrated. Khan now probably does just about have a better resume.

hey lufcrazy, unrelated to the post, you and I have a similar post count, but you joined in sept 2009 it says, so you will pass me up soon since mine goes back to Dec. of 2008 which is about 10 posts a day average. Just wanted to comment on it since I recognized it. Take care.

This poll should be unanimous. Khan may be a better fighter than Ricky but he's nowhere close in terms of legacy at this point in his career.

The problem with Ricky and his overall career was the catchweight stuff and fighting someone where he was not comfortable. Many people say catchweight is a good thing but I do not. He fought Mayweather too high, and Floyd was a natural welt and Ricky gets his first loss by stoppage. He was never the same after that. So the one fight which turned the tide of his career and diminished him a little had to do with a weight agreement. Had he never fought Mayweather, I am not saying he wouldn't have lost to Manny, but I do not think it would have been as devastating.

Not really. He has a style that will never be appreciated in America because it's about scoring points and looking good, and not so much about effectiveness. Kind of Calzaghe-ish, who will never get respect from Americans

Judah was a joke but since he had a belt to win it was the best fight to make since bradley **** out.

Anyway the point is people need to stop bringing up floyd an PAC when talking about hatton as if it was some kind of plus for him. He got murdered to the point that he never should have been in the same ring. Those are not plus points to use as a tool for saying his legacy is better than khans. Hatton dukes junior witter for ****s sake

Khan already has more meaningful wins. Remember Hatton was well matched vs Cans for the majority of his career. Hatton signature win vs zoo. Lost the others. Khan gets a few more wins against good comp then yes he passes ricky.
