IF Khan stops Malignagi would he have proved the critics wrong?

Even though Paulie isnt the biggest of punchers, his skill and slick style i feel should be appreciated. Personally if khan does stop paulie convincingly i feel he would make a serious statement to the 140 division.

The critics and haters will inevitably bring up the "chin not being tested by feather fisted paulie" case, but boxing is more than just how hard someone hits.

So what do u guys think will khan deserve credit for stopping paulie? Will he have made a statement? Where do u see khan after the fight (win or lose)

You don't shut up critics by beating handpicked opponents.

No. I like Khan but no. Malignaggi is a B- level, feather fisted, braids wearing tranny.

No. It's been done before. Whilst Paulie makes the most of what he has, he shouldn't present that much trouble for Khan, Khan's achillies heal is his chin you're not a hater if you say that, Paulie hasn't even a punchers chance so to speak.

I mean Khan needs to stop Bradley or Alexander imo to make me a believer! He's had plenty of unfounded hype already, he needs to prove himself this time!

    Yes, In one way though.

People were saying Khan would never get in the ring with a slick boxer - well they've just been proved wrong.

But chin wise, no, He wont recieve credibility for this win on that.

Upside is, he'll win quite a few fans if he makes a good show of it.

Paulie may be feather fisted or what have you but he's tough. Not even Hatton or a prime Cotto could stop Poli Malignagoli so I doubt Khan does.

Nope. I do like Khan but his chin is a glaring weakness and his critics will keep doing what they do until he faces a puncher. Paulie is a decent fighter he is not an elite fighter so anybody claimining to be the world champ at 140 should be beating him (not necessarily stopping him, but beating him). This is certainly a step up for Khan in terms of level of competition but lets not get carried away here, this is no career defining fight.

I think he might have been better off fighting Maidana in the UK before fighting Paulie in New York. This fight would have more significance if Khan had proved himself against a banger first and Paulie had put another good win under his belt after Diaz IMO.

I dont see the whole maidana hype though. He got beat by kotelnik who khan totally outclassed. He was dropped twice by ortiz who khan stopped in the amateurs (yes i know amateurs and pros are very different but its still worth noting).

Against Maidana all i see happening is khan hitting and moving for the 12 rounds, boxing his way to a wide UD. And if khan does do exactly that he still wont get any credit for beating maidana because he would have been smart enough not to put himself in a position for his chin to get tested, so its a lose lose situation for khan either way

This fight will prove that khan can deal with even the fastest of fighters in the world to date.

I dunno, Khan can hit and the billion or so shots Paulie's soaked up will have to take their toll sooner or later.

I'd need to see Khan in with a puncher before I give him full props.

Im going to keep this short and simple.

Till he proves he can take a shot off a hard puncher or even get in the ring with somone like Maidanna then no

Well what I say to these critics is this..."what exactly is the response you're looking for when Khan gets hit by a big puncher?"

Because there's no ifs or buts about it, Khan will fall down like a ton of bricks again. I doubt he's miraculously developed a half good chin since the Prescott defeat, so what exactly are these critics looking for? Khan's chin is hopeless, and will remain that way. He knows this. Roach knows this. His handlers know this. So you can bet your house that when he does step in the ring against a puncher, he won't even put himself in a situation where he'll get tagged cleanly. He'll forever be a safety first fighter, with the primary concern of keeping that chin out of harms way.

So a more ideal question from the critics should be...."Has his defence improved enough?"

What's up with a lot of people (Usually Pac fans) calling Malignaggi a tranny? I guess you guys have some experience with them... or is it Paulie?

considering that Cotto broke Malignaggi's face and couldn't stop him, then yes this will certainly prove critics wrong.
