Roach would always back Manny over Khan, he's quoted many times saying training Manny has changed his life.

    Khan will never fight Pac.

I just dont see him in the same light as a lot of people and dont think he'll ever reach that level.

I really like Floyd as a fighter, and don't hate him as a person, but I still want to see him lose at some point. I'd love if Khan were the one to do it in a couple of years, but if Manny gets to him first...

If your suggesting Khan has as much right as Clottey to face Pac then you need to rethink.

Margarito,Corrales,Judah and getting a split decision with Cotto...slightly more justifying than.. Andreas Kotelnik and Malignaggi

Khan is nowhere near Pacquiao's level. He's best win since the Prescott loss is Kotelnik. There's a huge difference between Kotelnik and Pacquiao!

This pretty much goes back to the same issue of you judging someone based on a single fight.

Irrelevant of what you may think of his technique, you have to respect a guy who goes 12 rounds with Pac, takes Cotto to a 12 rounds SD, goes 12 rounds with Margarito and defeats corrales over 10 rounds.

Khan certainly as it stands wouldn't achieve any of the above.

Your opinion on how a potential Bradley-Khan fight would go has surprised me, Slip.

Personally, all I see is a Khan victory. Khan has all of the advantages you'd want over a fighter like Timmy: speed, height, reach, and a world-renowned tactician in his corner. I look at Bradley and I see wide, lunging punches and a significant (for the weight, at least) size difference. Bradley is wide-open for the counter, doesn't always turn his punches over and isn't as powerful as some believe he is either.

Khan wins via wide, wide UD, IMHO. He lands numerous uppercuts and leaves Timmy's face a bloody mess. Timmy is a determined little ******* with a thoroughly deserved #1 ranking at 140, but I can't see how he beats Khan.

Oh C'mon. I think that because i've seen every Khan pro fight and because that's just not his strength and style. You don't need to be a boxing scholar to realise inside fighting is Amir's big weakness. He's just not good in the pocket, which is understandable as he's a 'boxer' and his strength lies at long range, but he's really poor in this department.

His inside game consists of putting up his guard and waiting for the storm to clear; the opponent to stop punching or to wait a few seconds before moving away. Khan's feet are a big part of his defence, but he doesn't know how to stay in the pocket and get off, without getting nailed. He can't engage on the inside as he's never really developed short punches and he's not as effective as when he's on the outside because he needs to measure his opponent.

Amir is just not comfortable in the pocket. He becomes square instead of side on, his body becomes a big target, he doesn't lean to his sides, which would enable him to counter or connect with body shots. Because of this he becomes very susceptible to counters and hooks around the side, if he throws while he's on the inside.

This fight iilustrates this the best. Although to be fair to Amir, he's come on and learnt how to anticipate things and move at the right times, but the style and weakness is essentially still the same.

Another weakness his when he throws combos from the outside, he tends to fall in or over extend. He steps back with the jab though to his original distance, which is good. And he hardly ever goes back in straight lines. :good

See i don't think he's actually that bad on the inside when he goes inside, you say he gets caught when he gets inside thats not uncommon with any fighter, he put Gomez,***an down with a short punch in those fights and he also put Malignaggi down with a short hook to the body. I agree with you that its not his strongest area but i think Roach has taught him to fight to his strengths which is at range and rightly so.

There's just something special i'm seeing in Bradley. I just can't see this guy ever wafering in his fortitude. I think he also brings certain tools to the table, that will give Amir problems.

Lets hope this fight gets made, Los. Because it looks like me and you are gonna go back 'n' forth, in the lead up. :bbb:good

    Ok reading though some posts,

    *Khan has limited offence skills.

Why try something different when what you are doing is working and your good at it? meaning landing shots and scoring points eg Khan kept landing on Paulie's face someone said 'Khan should of went to the body more because he hurt Paulie with a good body shot in the 4th', i said again 'Why you need to go to the body when you keep landing on the face clean?.

On a boxing level Bradley and Alexander are the only one who can test Khan at 140 and where Khan might have to show the different shots at times.

We are yet to see someone really outbox or outpoint Khan.

If Khan fights Bradley he might have to use more attacking/offence options I am sure he has them and will have to use them. The problem is his 1 2 work's so well, its hard to stop it, or counter due to the speed it comes at you.

We are yet to see Khan's real power at 140, Kotelnik had a great guard and a iron chin, Paulie has a good chin, and knew how to avoid big shots, good footwork. He did let Khan get any combos off and kept moving and not letting Khan hit him with the right hand for most of the fight.

We will see Khan's power vs Maidana i feel, not that Khan will stand and trade with him, but i see Maidana walking onto alot of shots with his chin in the air.

With regards to Khan(5'10) vs Bradley(5'6), I see Khan doing his work at range with Bradley trying to get past Khan's jab and right hand to get inside to do his work. Not happening Khan will keep 5'6 Bradley at range and score a UD on him, but would be a great fight. When you know how to box and use your range, you should beat the smaller guy.

I dont really see smaller guys beating Khan, Khan might not know how to fight on the inside but he wont let you in, he will keep you at range and pick you off from his range with, speed, footwork, Iron jab.
