Not at all, Ero. I couldn't agree more with your post. That's just my general feeling that I get around here.

The thing what gets to me is, the people who trash him are the same people who expected him to beat the fighters that beat him. It's their fault as well, yet they are the one's to point fingers on others and Amir.

I don't brag, but if anyone read my threads or posts on the Garcia and Peteron fights, I had said that I think they are hard fights which he could lose, yet I was supposedly just saving face for Khan and myself by making a thread saying Khan could lose, despite me giving an explanation as to why he could lose as well. I didn't once bump them threads or posts.

If I can understand his limitations, then these critics should have as well. It's partially their fault that Amir was thought to achieve great great things just as much as anyone else.

Yeah fair point, I've seen this also. Really, Khan could retire now and be proud of what he's achieved. I'm not saying he can't improve or achieve a whole lot more, but with the attributes he has, he's not under achieved. Both Peterson and Garcia are fights Khan can win and lose.

I remember you calling the Garcia fight, saying Khan could lose. I think Rico and Mand also mentioned that if Garcia could punch with Khan, he could upset him.

Laz, the only people with unreasonable expectations are those that expect Khan to do more. Those criticising him have already accepted he's not all that and learned to love him for it, I know I have!

I have no problem with Amir, only with those who keep begging for someone to tell then there's a miracle cure for him.

As for expecting him to beat the likes of Garcia and Peterson, that was more me underrating them than overrating Amir. But good point well made.

I said 'fine' no real panic, wobbles or macho stuff.

He got caught be solid hooks and the commentators said nothing, I do remember.

I don't think there's any unreasonable expectations of him now (bar a couple maybe ). I was talking more prior to his defeats where he was deemed to do such great things. Some have accepted it (including myself), but not everyone, which is what I was mainly pointing towards.

I agree, which is why I had said that I rather take him for what he is at this point instead of thinking about his flaws and what can be done to improve on them. The people who really do expect some massive turn-over from him are surely in the minority in comparison to those who criticize him and his fans now but agreed that he would do great things pre-Peterson.

I'm glad you acknowledged your picks. If we had more explanations like what you posted, I'm sure I wouldn't have mentioned my post to ero-sennin. Good posters are just a minority here now, I'm afraid. :good

If Khan wants to come back he needs to fight based on what his strengths are, he has a good reach and ridiculous handspeed, if he stayed on the outside and boxed and tried to pick shots, he could make a comeback.

But, I Think this "macho" streak in him will always come out once he got tagged, he takes a shot and wants to prove how tough he is so he starts going to the trenches.

Even the BEST fighters cover up when they get hurt (see Mayweather against Mosley)

    Khan NEEDS to learn this.

I respect the guy for being a warrior, but there are gonna be more highlight reel KO's against him UNLESS he drops the macho streak.

He's got a ton of heart though, i'll give him that.

I've had a lot of fun following Khan over his career, he's given us some great fights and some classic moments no matter what comes next

It's his much vaunted lack of ring I.Q and non-existent survival tactics, if he gets hurt he should know to cover up for dear life then once his opponent gets in close then just ****ing grab on for dear life, do anything to avoid getting clocked with more clean shots. his power isn't all that to begin with, so when he's wobbled, trading punches with the other guy isn't going to accomplish jack **** other than leaving him open for more shots.
