If khan faces matthyse in december and beats him impressively how would you rank his reign at 140, for me it would seem a little empty since bradley chose to duck and dodge, matthyse a solid fighter no doubt but having a name like bradley would really put the feather in the hat so to speak.

Above brad and judah. Below tszyu and hatton.

If you want me to go back further it's below chavez and maybe on par with oscar.

what about cotto, and outside of kostay what else did hatton do at 140? for me he'd be a notch above hatton

    Better than cotto imo.

Hatton unified, beat a prime paulie and also a shot castillo plus he beat some decent contenders before his shot.

Khan would then have Kotelnik, Maidana, Judah, Matthyse and a few others. I'd have him ahead of Hatton and Cotto in the LWW stakes.

I'd rank it ahead of Hatton IMO. He'll have solid wins on Kotelnik, Paulie M, Maidana, Lucas, Judah and Bradley has ducked him. Solid resume in a pretty stacked division when he entered

On a par with Hatton's, who's pre-Tszyu career is underrated but post-Tszyu overrated.

Like bazza said, Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, McCloskey and Judah is a decent slate..... throw Matthysse in there and it's impressive.

    Phillips
    Tackie
    Magee
    Tszyu
    Maussa
    Urango
    Castillo
    Malignaggi

Maussa was a bum, albeit better than Salita.... Hatton has the best individual win in Tszyu, but a couple of those wins are favourable stylistically, though that can be said for Amir too.

Plus, Hatton was the one who didn't want to know his #1 contender. Amir's #1 contender/joint top dog has gone into hiding.

    :deal

It would be a good slate, but hardly Locche-esque is it?

    Anyway, below Muangsurin.

In the modern, split title, Americans get paid loads to fight bums on HBO era it's not to be sniffed at.

Might be worth a thread, the top 10 resumes of active fighters - I doubt Khan is all that far away.

    Kotelnik UD
    Salita TKO 1
    Malignaggi TKO 11
    Maidana UD
    McCloskey TKO 6
    Judah TKO 5

    Matthyse .....................

Its by no means a bad looking resume to be fair , its actually a good platform to go and look for bigger names and fights up @47

The fact Bradley is not on there is not Khan's fault so that is pretty irrelevant , Alexander isnt the fighter the boxing world thought he might of been so again he's on hold too , at least until he finds some form , he could potentialy fight Berto , Mayweather , Cotto , Marquez , and the likes , the next 3 years should have Khan fighting the sports elite so lets re evaluate then .

Joking about what? Paulie being prime? Castillo being shot? Or the pre title names being decent?

Good rather than great. Not really his fault he didn't get the defining fight though, is it? Unfortunate.

Paulie is literally a useless fighter. He does nothing well other than getting punched in the face. He evidently lost against Ngoudjo, arguably against Ndou the 2nd time as well.
