If Kovalev beats Bhop, would be Kovalev vs Ward a bigger fight than Ward vs GGG?

None of these fights is big. No one knows who Ward is. That guy didn't fight for a year and his last fight was against a no named bum instead of against GGG. Ward's time is over. That guy will never come back and if he does, he didn't deserve a fight against neither Kovalev nor GGG. Both would btw knock him out witin 2 or 3 rounds.

Boxing needs better fights and 2015 will be a great year for the sport but please without Ward, a guy who's best win is against a shot Abraham and Froch, who is not even near elite level.

Ward has faded in obscurity for me. We all know he's good, but all that ring rust builds up and he's there for the taking. He doesn't want Kovolev or GGG who own 160-175lb.

GGG, because he is a better fighter than Kovalev.

Ward is the most established of the three despite inactivity, but I would rather see him get beat by a middle weight than a light heavy weight because it leaves no question.

Kovalev is no doubt a big hitter, but he might not have the skill to catch Ward clean, and I see him falling for Wards tricks a lot easier and looking frustrated. Not saying he can't beat Ward, it just seems less likely.

Golovkin has the best offense in the sport, its something Ward can't even train for, and is something he has never seen. GGG has plenty of good defensive tricks that he uses, like hiding behind his shoulder and using his jab to deflect or block punches. Timing is everything, and its hard to watch GGG's feet and know what he is going to do, the guy is very subtle in his movement and rhythm and doesn't give off any reads that Ward would use to time or block him.

GGG is also an excellent wrestler, and I think that is what will thwart Wards clinching game the most. People don't clinch Golovkin because he hurts you coming in, and hurts you again after you tie up. Ward's fight night weight is only a few pounds higher than GGG, but I firmly believe Golovkin is a lot stronger.

Ward can read taller, less athletic guys and make them fall for his feint, and then he clinches them before they can strike. Golovkin is also a master of setting up traps and forcing his opponent, and I think Ward is going to be too overwhelmed by Golovkin's offense to be able to set him up.

Yes I think if Kovalev beats Hopkins it would be a bigger fight for Ward against Kovalev than Golovkin, and no, I dont think Ward will go up to LHW.

    Nonsense!

There are several ways to neutralize power, and it doesn't necessarily require the exact attributes you're suggesting.

I agree with this though I'm not sure that Kov would beat Ward

I'd favor Kovalev in that fight I think
