I thought Kovalev won the fight by a couple of rounds, but Ward definetley finished the stronger. Had the fight gone an extra 3 rounds he would have won. shocking scoring from the mericans. I hope there is a re match straight away.
Ward would win a 15-rounder based on the evidence of the first fight. He had figured out Kovalev to a degree and there wouldn't have been enough time for Kovalev to wrest back the momentum, I'd wager. That doesn't mean that Krusher can't respond and adapt in a rematch though.
Only way I see Kovalev winning is if you give him rds 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, 12 with the KD winning him the fight. The rest were pretty clear Ward rounds imo. But that's just my opinion. Wouldnt mind arguing rounds with anyone see other people's perspectives.
15 rounds and Ward wins by KO. Kovalev was through in the last round. That body attack broke Kovalev down and had him fatigued and exhausted. Kovalev was happier to see round 12 than Ward.
