Hopkins was 50 and MUCH smaller
Stevenson aint **** but a punch
Pascal's a good but not great fighter

The guys obviously a monster. But those 3 wins arent all that amazing

Hopefully Beterbiev and some of the other Ruskies provide him with some super stern challenges

Kovalev doesn't like being hit and is a bit reckless I'm going I put a bit on an early pascal ko I the odds are good. pascal could surprise him early with something big with his speed and powe that kovalev hasn't seen yet

It doesn't matter who Kovalev fights he will never get the props he deserves.

He'd be up there in the top 10 after those fights.

With all the ducking that goes on in boxing, relying on resume too much is unfair

These would be 3 of the harder challenges in the division, so youd have to give him props for actually being willing to challenge himself, unlike so many others

    H2H in the division he's a monster

He's got the GGG problem in that he's so dangerous the other guys in the division duck him - so you really cant rely too much on resume anymore - you have to look at what he does with guys others have fought

No one's done that to Hopkins, even if he was 50 and smaller

Adonis is running from him so he should get automatic points for that - making another fighter too scared to step in the ring with you

And Pascals a good fighter who can bang. Dont give him much of a shot here at all cause Kovalevs too strong too good, but it would still be a good win

I dont presonaly know enough about the history of the division to answer the OP, but H2H he looks a bloody nightmare

H2H, Kovalev would be a tough fight for just about any LHW in history.

I don't really want to rank them, but I think all 32 of these guys have a pretty good case for outranking Kovalev, and at least 20 of them are out of his reach no matter what he does:

    Bob Fitzsimmons
    Philadelphia Jack O'Brian
    Harry Greb
    Ezzard Charles
    Archie Moore
    Jimmy Bivins
    Sam Langford
    Gene Tunney
    Tommy Loughran
    Bob Foster
    Harold Johnson
    Joey Maxim
    Maxie Rosenbloom
    Michael Spinks
    Billy Conn
    John Henry Lewis
    Willie Pastrano
    Jack Dillon
    Jack Delaney
    Paul Berlenbach
    Jersey Joe Walcott
    Kid McCoy
    Young Stribling
    Jimmy Slattery
    Battling Levinsky
    Tommy Gibbons
    Mike McTigue
    Bernard Hopkins
    Glen Johnson
    Antonio Tarver
    Dariusz Michalczewski
