If Jake Lamotta had Challenged Joe Louis for the Heavyweight crown. As other Middleweight Champions have tried. could he at least, with his great chin. lasted the distance against "The brown bomber"?

No, extremely bad style matchup. LaMottas chin was great and his ability to roll with punches was great but Louis' handspeed and short punching would have really torn him to pieces on the inside. If it Happens in 1949 LaMotta stands a better chance of doing some good early work against Joe and maybe lasting ten round because his speed had diminished but its still a bad style matchup anyway you slice it.

It's possible, but I think Louis puts him out.

It would n't go any more than two rounds. Jake would get slaughtered.

    Lasted the distance?

Jake would have destroyed the slow plodding Louis.

(Only joking, in reality Jake probably gets destroyed brutally in a few rounds.)

It'd probably be TKD. Techincally Knocked Dead. The first standing death in boxing.

LaMotta does what Billy Conn could not, by dancing away for the last three rounds to capture a decision.

In reality LaMotta would last a few rounds at most. He was extremely tough and his upperbody movement made him an elusive target for combinations, but he was flat-footed and you never had to go looking for him. Without his usual strength advantages he would not have anything to trouble Louis with, and Louis would tee off on him with combos, unless he decides to go a few rounds.

Jake would have never been ko'd. NEVER
Because this match would have NEVER been made..There were homicide laws in the 1940
era...No 160-65 pound fighter in the 1940s woukld have been considered for the Brown
    Bomber...

Pre-title Louis, of the Baer and Uzcudun fights would stop Jake either in the 3rd or 4th...brutally, as in with 1 or 2 good shots.

When he fought Louis? I thought he weighed at least 175 for their first fight?

It would only be a question of how much of a beating the ref would allow Jake to take.
