Do Guerrero and Maidana have huge hidden fan bases that I don't know about?

The fact that the guys mentioned in the 1st paragraph of your post aren't the moneymakers Floyd is is all the more reason for them to be fighting the bigger draws, because they have less money in the bank than Floyd.

If you ever wonder why the best win on Floyd's record is worse than the best wins on the records Pacquiao, Hopkins, Arguello, Whitaker, Pryor, Sanchez, Mosley, Nelson, Hopkins, Forest, Trinidad, Jones, Barkley, Rigondeaux, Morales, Frazier, Leonard, Holyfield, Spinks, Qawi, Ali, Duran, Rahman, Hearns, Douglas, Barrera, Hagler, Muhammed, Norton, Williams, Moorer, Young, Phillips, Taylor, and probably 400 others fighters it's because those guys have a set of balls and take chances and Floyd doesn't.

And Lara easily schooled Trout and Alvarez had a close fight with him that could have gone either way.

Lara would have to beat Canelo twice. If he does that, he'll be in the running for a fight against Mayweather next May. You'll also have guys like, Khan, Porter, Thurman and possibly Pacquiao in the mix as well.

If he beats the crap out of him, maybe even a KO mayweather would think about it. Boxing 3rd biggest superstar get outclassed and worked, that would create mad buzz

The Canelo fight is a huge opportunity for Lara. Honestly, despite the exciting fight with Maidana, I'm somewhat tired of seeing Mayweather in there with brawlers and big punchers. I know it probably won't sell as well....but I want to see a real chess match between Mayweather and a Lara, assuming he can beat Canelo in style.
