I thought the judging and reffing was pretty fair for a change. Certainly not always the case in chocoboy's fights.

So no, it would have been more or less the same. But he probably would have won on one of the 2 isles.

Lee said he wants a rematch over in Ireland.

“If my next fight is Peter Quillin, so be it. It should be in Ireland, because he has an Irish last name and maybe he can find some ancestors there.”

Quillin doesn't want to go over there though.

So Lee comes to his country to defend HIS title in his FIRST defence and Quillin doesn't even make weight and now he doesn't want to go over to Lee's country. lol

I thought the judging was good in this fight. I had Andy winning but to be honest he was in a 5 point hole after 3 rounds. It was an impressive display that he brought himself all the way back in this fight. Some draws can show one fighter in a positive light and another in a negative light. Case in point Carlos Takam vs Mike Perez. The result was a draw but Takam had the far more impressive performance. In this case, I think the Draw was a very impressive result for Andy and a rather poor result for Quillan. He got outboxed after having a 5 point lead through 3 rounds and was fortunate the second KD was scored. He also had his opponent hurt and didn't close the show. If there is a fighter who comes out of this draw looking the better of the two boxers it was Andy.

The same reason Lee went and fought Quillin in NY, is the same reason he'll fight the rematch there too...

Lees next fight should be Saunders. And if lee OR quillin fight like that against Saunders they both get UD'd. Throwing 15 punches around not moving no footwork. Lovely stuff for billy.

This is a rare case where a draw may not automatically warrant a rematch. Not an immediate one anyway. Quillan vacated the belt rather than face his mandatory in Korobov. He is then allowed a crack at the title when his replacement Lee won it by taking the match. Quillan then fails to make weight. The fight still goes on, and even on his home turf he was not able to win the title back.
To be honest his behavior has been very unprofessional. The result if the fight was fair, both fighters should move on and revisit a rematch down the line.

Lee says he wants it in Ireland though, but Quillin doesn't want to go over there. Quillin voluntarily gave up his belt, got a crack at straight away, didn't make weight for the fight, and now he wants home advantage yet again if he gets a second crack at it even though Lee came to his country and defended HIS belt in his FIRST defence. I don't even dislike Quillin but he didn't even deserve his first crack at the belt, let alone having everything his own way. Quillin is scared to return to his ancestral home and to be perfectly frank the way he's been carrying on is very un-Irish indeed.

Yeah, and if hes paid enough he'll fight in Quillins kitchen.

They'll fight wherever the most money is made. Simple.

Andy would have probably liked to fight this fight in Ireland too, but he made more money fighting in NY

Lee should forget about a rematch vs Quillin (unless Petra decides to go in Ireland) and fight Saunders.

I'm not disputing that I'm alluding to Quillin's attitude regarding it. Lee said he wants the fight Ireland, but Quillin wants everything his own way AGAIN even though he's already just got it and didn't deserve it the first time.
