Lee has always wanted to defend his title in Ireland. He's earned it. He's taken the hard fights and has performed admirably he deserves to have his wish fulfilled. If he comes through his next fight, he will be in line for a big match.

So if they do the rematch, what happens to BJS? Does he get paid step aside money again?

I've not heard talk of them having an immediate rematch. I'm not sure if Saunders will step aside again either. He might but I hope not as Lee really wants to defend his title in Ireland and Quillin doesn't seem up for it all.

and the same reason ward should've snapped froch's arm off, unless he wasn't confident after such a lay-off.

op, bit of a stretch. the 2nd knockdown was an honest mistake.

You should apply to be Ward financial consultant in that case.

Froch didnt want the fight. He made a half hearted mention of fighting in Nottingham and only Nottingham.....if he didnt retire....or fight Chavez.

And that was only when the WBA forced him to make an effort

So you think he fights in Ireland if he only makes half the amount of money he'd make fighting in NY?

You do realise that Quillin would have hit that decision if the title had been on the line. Only an extraordinary lucky break has enabled Amdy to still be "Champ" today!
    That's 3 in a row.

for saying the same as you did about lee?

ward didn't want the fight. he neither made nor accepted an offer. face it, if he'd signed we'd both be heading to nottingham.

you realise what you say about the wba forcing froch to make an effort applies even more to ward? and he still didn't bother!

Then Ward should've called his bluff, but he came up with a roadblock despite being the B-side, showing he didn't want the fight either.

On topic, I think Lee fights Saunders or Golovkin next. Hard to see Al paying more step-aside money to put Quillin in a fight he could lose when he didn't bother to make weight the first time.

The lucky break was the phantom k/d being called in Quillin's favor, the same guy who didn't bother to make weight.

I would fear for Lee's health if he fought Golovkin. If he got floored by Quillin twice, I shudder to think what Golovkin would do to him.

    Signed what?

Ward unlike Froch didnt make a public media statement 3 months ago about never wanting to fight Froch though, did he?

Froch only changed his tune when the WBA stepped in

But I dont want this to turn into another Ward thread.

Quillin DOES NOT deserve a rematch! HE MISSED WEIGHT
