    quoted for truth

He melted Klitschko's face. It can't get more convincing than that.

If it wasn't for the cut..........

Lewis TKO 8........ or 9 - Klitschko was getting knocked out.

I love Vitali, great guy, quality fighter - but he was getting laid out.....

    Lewis was #1/2 H2H ATG.

    Wrong.

Danny had world class skills, ATG heart....... but clubfighter dedication and training.

All in all, he was a Euro level fighter who did pretty well - great guy as well. A good advert for British boxing.

The only arguement against him retiring was that he should fight Vitali again. If he had beaten him convincingly, his retirement would have been even clearer.

The only fight Lewis wanted after VITLAY was a Tyson rematch, VITLAY was in reality just a warm up fight that Lewis took too lightly. Once Tyson backed out of the rematch that was it for Lennox - despite what the Klit-ites spout a Tyson rematch would have been a much bigger fight.

I think an it was my big feeling at the time that Vitali would win an when I feel this good about something I don't remember ever being wrong in this type of situation (Where a fighter I choose is coming through against a champion.:good

He damn near ripped his face off...if that's not convincing for somebody, too bad.

...and no, he retired because it was time, not because ViTKLiT was around.

ViTKLiT is a funny man...he wanted Lewis' place so bad, couldn't have it and retired after injuries. Now he returns, and seems to be taking WLAD's place...ignoring Gomez, his WBC challenger so he can try to fight Haye who publicly accosted WLAD...

ViTKLiT needs to get his own legacy, or get out. Getting your face damn near ripped off by Lewis, and defeating a guy (Peter) lil bro already defeated are the highlights of his resume.

Nah, the division was void of any descernable talent. Fighting the likes of Thopmson and Peter wouldn't have proven anything - so he thought he'd just leave it to the Klitschko's to do instead. :yep

That is the reason why i am a bigger fan from Wladimir than Vitali. Wlad tries to build his own legacy. Fighting his mandatories, and Top 10 contender to become a Champion and act like a Champion.

Vitali could do the same in 2004. But he retired because of injuries. Now he is back, fighting Samuel Peter to make the Klitschko dream come true. I respect Wladimir because he loves his brother and let him do want Vitali wants to do. But now it is Wladimirs time. Vitali should fight Gomez or retire. And not David Haye without the belt.

    Lewis DID beat Vitali convincingly.

If Lewis KOed Vitali in 1 round, people would not give Lewis his due credit, saying Vitali was still green.
