If the situation were reversed and Lennox Lewis were born in Canada, raised THERE! until the age of 12/13, but then moved to England and started Boxing there, and went onto to represent Britain at the in the Olympics, then went back to Canada turned pro, and claimed to be Canadian, you people who claim he's Canadian would still be claim he's not English, so you cant win either way.

    Im just saying.

Who cares where he was born and who he fought for in the Olympics. Doesn't change what he accomplished at all.

If Lennox hadnt lived out his first 12 years in the hood he would never have become a fighter anyway

Then he would be a Canadian pro boxer and a English amateur boxer. Nowhere in Canada do you ever hear ever that Lewis was a Canadian pro boxer not on tv and not nowhere. This is all about people on this forum trying to get under the British skins.

No one really believes he is Canadian. But people will keep saying it as long as people like you take the bait.

    You've been reeled in.

he'd have had stronger leg build. Londoners tend to be weak at the knee.

He chose to fight for Britain as a pro, so I choose to accept him as British.

lol... Lewis went where the money was: Britain.

Lewis doesn't give a **** about Britain but the dumbass brits paid to see him 'represent' them. Dude spends all his time in the US / Jamaica now so what does that tell you about how he perceives the British?

US/Jamaica. So it tells you about as much as he thinks of Canada, following your logic.

    Yes. I agree.

Like I say Canada or the Uk he cares for neither it was simply a case of using Canada as a springboard for the Olympics and the UK as a means of gaining money.

The fact he lives now in his ancestral and adoptive homelands of US / Jamaica prove this.

It proves he prefers sunnier climates. Good for him.

He is still over in England regularly, infact my brother was talking to him just 2 weeks ago.

    You talk nonsense.

Tbh, whilst I get your logic, most people in England would prefer to live somewhere sunnier if they could live comfortably there.

These days, few people are really that proud to be English, its not the inthing to be nationalist anymore. Its largely business these days.
