why do you think lewis would survive wlad's punches?wlad hits much harder than vitali.prime for prime i favor lewis against wlad, but i can't see how could lewis from the vitali fight win against wlad.he got nailed in the beginning and was lucky that wlad wasn't on the other side

The Lewis of the Vitali fight against todays Wlad would lose. But that Lewis against the Wlad of the time would win.

Lewis chin is underrated, is was pretty good actually.

maybe, but only few hw's could stand to wlad punches if he started landing like vitali started against lewis.also vitali stunned lewis in round 2.i think wlad would have knock out lewis in that fight.i don't buy things like lewis would jump all over him..why didn't he jump all over vitali?

Lewis wouldn jump all over Wlad, not the Lewis of the Vitali fight. He couldn´t do it anymore. He was less dynamic and explosive than in the past. HE wouldn´t have been able to do what he did to Grant or Golota. Wlad back then was an offensive monster, he had a high workrate, nice combinations, variaty, power, speed. But he lacked defence and even that Lewis was vastly suprior to anybody Wlad faced up to then and he would fight instead of boxing, a bit like Evander actually. That would be very bad for him. I go with the more proven but past prime fighter over the young, more athletic, dynamic and harder punching pre-prime young gun.

I certainly think so. We're talking bout a guy whos practically finished as a fighter, and whether people like it or not, beat Vitali who has a better chin than Wlad, and IMO the better fighter of the 2 bros at the time. He took some great shots of Vitali so he aint chinny, and came back with some himself. I do not believe Wlad takes the shots vitali did.

Assuming Lewis is badly undertrained as he was against Vitali, he starts sluggish, but then brutally KO's Wlad as soon as he's warmed up.

Wlad had a far suprior offense at the time to his brother and look how much his brother landed. And he is more powerful by quite a bit. And Vitali´s chin isn´t that much better IMO. Watch the Sanders fight, an older, slower Sanders hurt Vitali badly.

i can't believe people are assuming that lewis would just walk through wlad's punches.wlad is no vitali.if lewis starts slow like against vitali,he's gonna get knocked out no doubt.wlad hits much harder than vitali,it's really not close.

I dont think Wlad was capable of taking the shots and handling the pressure that Vitali was in that fight and Lennox was sure both brothers needed to be fought the same. Pressure, make it a brawl. I think Wlad punches a lot harder than Vitali so maybe he gets lucky and lays Lennox out, but I would still pick Lennox by early KO. Wlad just was horrible at handling pressure, and although a little better now, I still dont think he could ever handle what Lennox could bring.

The Wlad of 2003 does not have a better defense than Vitali, the Wlad of around this time was getting knocked down all the time

His offense is only superior at range and coming forward. Id say Vitali is a much better counterpuncher and boxer off the backfoot as an opponent comes forward which would certainly be the way the fight would play out because of the way Lennox was going to approach the fight.
