say tyson wins holy fight like expected and lewis beats him around that time. how big would a lewis win be as far as his All time status people will say that a win would put him up there with ali and louis but i doubt if he would of carried on for much longer. he would of hit the jackpot big time. the reason why he stayed in boxing for so long was because he was waiting for the goldmine that was a tyson fight as soon as he got that fight he only boxed once more then retired
If Lewis beats Tyson then, he certainly gets much more credit for the Win, from me personally anyway. While Tyson of 1996 was not the fighter he was some seven, eight years ago, he was still in shape, fast, powerful & ferocious. However, the Tyson of 1996, particular the one who beat Bruno, I feel would have still had too much for Lewis if they had fought then.
he was a lot better in those days than 2002 but the the head movement wasnt there to beat lennox. a fighter of tysons style and size needs head movement to create opportunities against a much bigger heavy like lennox
I have my doubts that Lewis would be as prepared for Tyson without his loses to McCall and Rahman, it made him rightfully prepared for a Tyson assault but Tyson was in his mental low in the period he fought Lewis....May have been a different fight and may have not
