It's all pretty vague. A few years ago he said glibly that he would return for a Klitschko for $50 million. Then after being ringside for Klitschko vs. Povetkin he told interviewers an unspecified "they" had offered him that same amount in seriousness, to which he replied the going rate was now double. It could all be just blowing smoke up everybody's ass. :conf
K2 didn't offer anything. Lewis said he spoke to Russian promoters, not K2. Bönte from K2 said this is all hot air and nothing will come out of it.
The nerds on the Classic forum act like Jack Johnson beating Jeffries who was out 6 years is the greatest thing ever so by that criteria yes it would hurt it.
If Lewis came back and lost, and I have no doubt that Wlad would steamroll this current version of Lewis, than it does nothing to Lewis's or Wlad's career. If Lewis came back and won than it would improve his already stellar career and Wlad's would take a serious hit. At their best I'd pick Lewis over Wlad but a 48 year old Lewis who hasn't fought in years has little to no chance against Wlad. The fight won't happen but I guess its amusing to talk about.
Not to me it wouldn't harm his legacy, but maybe to some people it would. but if people realize he is 48 then they shouldn't think any worse of him. he is a great fighter and I don't think it harms his legacy
I can't see how anyone would think it would harm his legacy. Retired 10 years. A loss is just a number in the L column. But a win?.......... oh lordy..........
i love the guy but he just does not like being the main man anymore..hence the numerous outbursts about comebacks ect ect...:good you looking forward to chagaev vs ortiz for the wba title?>?
