If Lewis/Klitchsko was in black and white most here would call them unskilled bums

Is it just me who doesn't find this fight particularly entertaining?

 

If it's any consolation, I don't find it as entertaining as I used to. But, then again, I have watched it more times than I can count.

 

Tbh, I've seen it 3 times (I think) and each time my favourite part was seeing Manny go nuts in Lennox's corner.

 

So, what, Primo Carnera and Buddy Bear beat Klitschko and Lewis?
Pernell Whitaker was the black Primo Carnera!

 

I couldn't say I remember Manny losing it with Lewis in the Klitschko bout; not that it would likely surpass the verbal shellacking he gave him during the Tyson bout.

 

The question is, despite how clumsy and whatever the two looked.. Who would have liked to have seen a rematch six months later??

Vitali could have rematched Chris Byrd too but the Klitschko's kind of had a tendency of avoiding rematches. Yeah , he wanted the Lewis rematch , but thats because he knew Lewis was at the end-point and wasn't going to get any better.
Since Byrd took the fight on a weeks notice and had never watched tape on Vitali, he was obviously going to be better in the rematch since he had already figured out his basic and rudimentary style. I think Vitali knew that , hence why he dodged the rematch and fought Timmy Hoffman instead.

Its interesting how the two best guys Vitali lost to were also not very prepared having taken the fights on short notice. Lewis brawling in such an unskilled fashion indicates he didn't prepare properly for the fight. Yet he still won. lol

 

I always thought in a rematch, that Lennox would be so worked up over the Klitchko s attitude s, that he'd come out and batter Vit even worse.

Just observing the first exchange in the Lewis Klitschko fight, you can see Lewis keep a high guard, feints, then steps in with a jab, sends a right over the top, followed by a left hook in quick succession, whilst also using head movement to avoid any return fire.

Now you may have a point that if the frame rate was slightly off and without colour it might not look quite as sophisticated, but there is a definite difference in the quality of boxing being displayed between the 2 clips

 

A black and white fight that’s bad is a bad fight a bad fight in colour is a bad fight it was what it was a bad technicians showing but an amusing brawl.
