If Lewis vs. Vitali had carried on

TKO round 7 for Lewis. After the cut was made and got worse, only a KO could save Vitali.

Dr. Fist was holding on for dear life in the 6th, no doubt lewis would have ko'd him in the 7th.

 

I think Lewis would have KOed him in round 7 or 8. Klitschko did well early but Lewis beat him up in round 6. There was one uppercut that was particularly nasty. From that point on Vitali was out on his feet. He draped himself over Lewis and Lewis carried him around the ring for the rest of the round. Watch how long it takes Vitali to find his corner!

 

imo, lennox would not have knocked vitali down even if it had continued. he hit vitali with the one of the most vicious uppercuts ever and couldn't put him down. most likely, there would be more sloppy two-way action til they stopped the fight on cuts at a later point. the holding would have become very excessive. monster hws can't fight at that pace and not pay for it later. there's no way in hell the ref/doctor lets vitali go 12 though.

While I'm pretty sure Lewis would have won, either by KO or it stopped by the doctor, on cuts, more interesting is how it might have unfolded if Vitali was never cut..that's a harder call.

 

I think Vitali would have KOed Lennox...it was just that the cut stopped him in his tracks.

 

If it carried on Vitali would most likely be blind in one eye now.
He was gonna take constant right hands from Lewis which he couldnt see coming - He's lucky it was stopped...

 

Lewis won because he cut Vitali, a perfectly legitamate way of winning. If Vitali hadn't been cut then it would have been 1 hell of a fight.

 

I think if Vitali wasnt cut he would not have been so aggressive - After the cut he put everything into getting a KO as he knew it was going to be stopped

 

big lewis fan, but both fighters were absoloutely ****ed after round 6, watch the way they walk back to their corners and slump on their stools.

i think if vitali wasn't cut, he would probably have gone on to win that fight. but like others have said, the fight would have got stopped with that cut soon after anyway, surely one of the worst cuts seen in a title fight.

 

Every person who thinks Lennox could have go on for more then a round nshould watch how he fell to the stool at the end of the 6th round. Vitali despite his face being a mess was clearly less exhausted.

Lewis knew that and so no rematch...better quit then lose.
