Lewis was the more tired of the two after the 6th. I think Vitali wins via TKO in rounds 8-10, but we will never know. Too bad Lewis did not offer the re-match he promised.

Lewis may of been tired, but he still had skin on his face and could see out of two eyes which always tends to be an advantage...

it couldnt have carried on with that cut anyways. but IMO if the referee had given vitali another round or so, then vitali would obviously had needed a knockout. but both where feeling the effects of the war so i think its about 50/50 if vitali would have got the kayo or not.

these kin of statement s are ridiculous. if prescott didnt get lucky with that left hook that hit khan on the chin then khan probably wins.

the punch landed, it did damage and vitali's cornermen couldnt stop it.

It's highly unlikely that Vitali would have got the KO - He could only see with one eye, so had no depth of perception, even lucky punches need some sort of accuracy

LOL - Yes how unlucky of Vitali. To be punched in a boxing match! Who would have thought it?

    :rofl:thumbsup

Your corner putting butterfly stitches instantly DQ's you - a fact Vitali and his corner well knew. VK knew the bout was over before it was called, his body language was of a man on the backend of a fight with no answer to getting pulped.

People also forget the dog act of attempting to kick Lewis during the bout - glad Lewis whelped him. Vitali should have learnt the art of defence better.

That must have been one of those special right hands that "grazes" and cuts in different parts of the face.:patsch

Fortunate is what losers use as an excuse - you make your fortune to make a fortune in the ring.

Vitali should have won - he was younger, fitter fighter, a contender with everything to gain and he was in fine form. He was just conquered by a legend whose career he will never match.

it wasnt a draw, lewis tko'd vitali. he punched him so hard no human being could let the fight continue with the damage he had caused.

it was an even fight until the stoppage, but the stoppage did occur. no two ways about it.

maybe he never made the rematch because he was old and had nothing left to gain by fighting on.

    a hater of who?

so i am deluded for thinking the fight was close up until the stoppage?

or am i deluded for thinking the stoppage was legit?

or is it because i felt the cuts where caused by lewis's punches?

or maybe for thinking lewis is old, with nothing to gain from fighting on?

    help me out here.
