Prime Mickey Garica is four-weights world champion and he is MUCH bigger than Loma.

Floyd's best wins are over the guys who were either shot (ODLH, Mosley) or much smaller (Marquez) or both (Pacquiao). The best guys he beat who weren't shot and weren't much smaller than Floyd are Cotto, Corrales and Alvarez. I think Garcia is better than either of them especially if we take into account that Cotto was slightly past his prime and wasn't bigger than Floyd while Mickey is at his peak and is much bigger guy than Loma. And Mickey is definitely better boxer than Corrales and Alvarez.

Being bigger doesn't mean you are better. If thats the case Garcia win over Easter Jr is better than any Loma win.

No way is Garcia a better boxer than Alverez either.

I didn't mention size alone. Skills + size (with size being the secondary factor).

And Garcia is definitely better than Alvarez. Garcia would NEVER went life and death with somebody like Austin Trout.

If anybody went life n death in that fight it was Trout , not Canelo. He was lucky he wasn't Zab Judah'd off that right hand.
And how do you know that anyway? Trout was a big win for Canelo at the time. Better than wins against the likes of Broner and Easter.

Berating Mikey would be a great win , but Floyd has wins over other bigger guys with skills.

In Floyd's resume only Canelo was a bigger guy with skills who wasn't well past his prime. I think Garcia is better than Canelo, but, saying that, I can't imagine Loma beating Garcia as easily as Floyd beat Canelo. I can see Loma beating Garcia like 116-112 or 115-113 on the independent cards, while Floyd won every single round against Canelo in my opinion.

Corralles was a huge guy with skills and Castilio outweighed Floyd on fight night both times.

I wouldn't say Cotto was well past prime either. He looked excellent dismantling Margo and Mayorga before and Delvin and Geale after.
He wouldn't have given Floyd a tough fight if he was so far beyond his prime.

Also , i could see Miadana and Hatton running right through Garcia.

You can't count Floyd's win over Alvarez. The guy was greener than grass. No 23 year older beating an ATG.(HOFer at the very ****ing least).

Corrales was kind of drained at 130. That fight was better of at 135. Not saying Corrales would actually win or hurt FMJ. FMJ > Corrales by any means. But it wouldn't be that kind of drastic.

And yes Mikey Garcia win for Loma equals to anything FMJ has won against. Considering I don't think he genuinely won against Pac. Whose style ages much too faster anyway.

floyd was the best selfpromoter, thats why everybody regards his legacy as legendary but thats nonsense.
in the first half of floyds career he was really great. he came to fight. the second half of his career was more of a very well managed show. anti-combat boxing. pitty pat punching, holding, winning time etc.

in my opinion lomachenko is that, what floyd could had been. a very good educated fighter who comes to win.
i don`t critisize loma for getting dropped. thats boxing. it`s hard to put guys on their asses, if they moving backwards nonstop and throwing 3 punches a round.

Depends. If Canelo beats GGG he's suddenly a p4p superstar and unified two division champion.

I'd say Garcia is of a similar level of Cotto, he's behind the likes of ODLH and Mosley and PAC but he is bang in his prime so I can see the win being better than those.

    Its a close call tbh.

That's actually a pretty good question. I'd need to think about that for a little while. The size between those two is very significant and Garcia is excellent, so either way it's a superb win

No. But if Mikey beat Loma, it'd be a bigger win then anyone on Floyd's resume.

His resume is good as it is because Pac is pretty small.
