We should probably see what Loma does with Mikey at 135/140 before we start talking about Bud.

Crawford - Spence is the fight for late 2018 at welterweight.

    Right?

So you’re saying SRR is just one of the best? Now I’m curious to know who you rank as the best and also who you rank ahead of SRR.
Also, I believe SRR “only” distinguished himself in 3 weight classes: WW, MW, and LHW where he succumbed to heat exhaustion, rather than his opponent. Of course there were just 8 weight divisions when he fought. That said, SRR is highly revered for his achievements in 2 weight divisions: WW and MW.

Come to think of it, I'd have absolutely no issues stating that current 140lb Crawford, rehydrated back to 157lbs on fight night would beat the Canelo who faced FMJ. There was that thread earlier which was made which stated who could jump 2 divisions and beat a WC, there would be my answer if Canelo was still at 154lbs.

    SRL, SRR is 2nd.
I feel Leonard's defence was superior to SRR's.

I hope things work out for Bud at 147. I’ll have to reserve judgement until I see him at the weight. With Master Al in the picture and his tendency to steer PBF fighters toward easier fights and Spence’s insistence on fighting “Run Time” Thurman, I don’t think we’ll we ever see Bud across from Spence. The only way I see that happening is if Spence can continue to boil down to WW into late 2019...not likely in my opinion.
More realistic PBC options for Bud include Garcia and Porter. Although given Master Al’s track record, we’ll probably see Bud vs Berto or Guerrero.

    I respect your opinion.

I’m just surprised you have SRL ahead of SRR, Ali, and many would say Duran. I’m a big SRR fan and admire his willingness to adjust mid-fight with Hearns in their first fight. It was beautiful to watch him go from outboxed prey to stalking bully from round 6 until the TKO.

Too bad SRL only fought 40 times and missed out on Pryor, Curry and McCallum.

I like boxers that are like, 50% both defence and offence(making it look so fluid and flawless from transition), SRL is the epitome of that, its why I think Bud is the best boxer since SRL.

A lot of hate for Loma after this Rig debacle. Hate on the level of Manny and Floyd. That's telling. It's just crazy he's getting this much with only 11 pro fights. Loma will be around for a while so we can expect some quality fights down the line. Considering he's already faced guys like GRJ, Nicholas Walters and Rigondeaux....in only a handful of professional bouts, there's going to be some huge fights in the future.

I could say Loma would beat Crawford at a catchweight too but thats not the point.

What CW would that be? Because anything from 135lbs upwards, Bud is kicking his arse.

I'd fancy Bud at 131CW too if you want, he rehydrates good I heard.
