They actually did like Hopkins and Monzon. Im sure there are plenty others. Ali could have easily loss by ko to cooper.
Lomachenko did not really lose the fight with Salido.................he was cheated by the worst referee in boxing history, Laurence Cole, who would never have been a referee if not for his father being the boxing commissioner of Texas! Salido hit low all night, held, headbutted, hit after the bell, hit on the break, hit behind the head and Lomachenko had Salido almost out in the last round, Salido admitted it................then the Texas judges who were pro Salido gave a split decision to Salido that he did not deserve! Ask Paulie about Cole and Texas judges! The Lomachenko haters want Lomachenko to keep going up in weight until he loses, they really do want him to fight Joshua! Lomahenko plans to fight the other champions at 130 before going up to 135, he wants to fight Mikey Garcia. Again, Lomachenko just came up from 126, hell, he should take his time and fight everyone in the division, at least the champions, then move to 135...................fight "all" the champions in that division as well...............Hagler stayed at 160 his entire career, Monzon, etc.
Supermiddleweight started when Hagler was 30 years old, and way after Monzon retired, and there was nobody there worth a damn when for years. Hagler stayed at 160 because he is 5'9, weighed in on the day of the fight back then and probably fought at 163 and would have been fighting hall-of-famer quality guys at 175 like Spinks, Qawi, Saad Muhammad, and Eddie Mustapaha Muhammad. When people say an athelete is great, the fans expect to see GREAT things from him, not "oh, that was kinda cool" things. If Lomachenko was a normal super-featherweight defending his title 15 times against guys from Venezuela would be impressive. But he is, as his promoter said "the best fighter since Ali." Ali has been retired for 35 years now and there have been a lot of fighters. That is a lot to live up to. But if it's true, he will try to do it.
