If Loma loses to Teo will it affect his legacy? If so by how much?

Having looked at a variety of Lopez videos and Loma, I think Lomachenko really ought to whip this guy, even though he is much smaller. If he loses to him it's not a good look, especially if Lopez goes on to do nothing special afterwards. The problem is that lighter fighters age fast, and VL is reaching the stage where he's got few years left. So he could bounce back from a loss (especially if he avenges it) but it probably will be walking uphill at the moment.

Although I think Loma will easily win this fight, if he loses, he loses. His legacy is what it is and I’ll always respect what he has accomplished. He’s not afraid to fight the best guys at his weight and isn’t trying to build a puffed up record. If he loses this fight, it will not be because of skill. He’s fighting a younger bigger guy. Lopez can easily make 140 and will probably finish his career at WW. Loma will probably finish his career at 130 or 126 because that’s his true weight. He’s fighting bigger guys for the $.

At least he provided competitive fights with top ranked guys without long nice looking record padding in pros.
Also he was 2 times Olympic gold medalist and 2 times World amatuer champion where he fought every one he had been given to fight with, not some ideal pro world stuff : fights with guys without proper pre fight camps, old out of shape journeymans and so on to rack up nice record or waiting for years unitl opponents will be enough old, put them on clauses and fight them in hometown etc alike " legacy ".
Including marquee fights with out of retirement guys to prove big name ( dicks ) value.
Younger and bigger owehyped kid from murcia is damn lucrative for fanbase.
The same Lopez better fought Tank, then he might get some test.

Lopez= noname even if he will defeat loma. boring and attention seeking dad in internet too.

I can't see how Loma loses this. If he loses though his fake aura of invincibility will we gone and there won't be much appeal to him imo.

Personally I was very disappointed he swerved Miguel Berchelt. Had he taken that fight and beaten him, Loma would have been vindicated somewhat for the Salido loss.

This fight is a lose-lose situation for Lomo. Those who hate him will vilify him if he loses in any manner, and those who hate him
will vilify him if he beats a "young, inexperienced boxer who he should have beaten anyway".

Berchelt hasn't fought anyone with a pulse in decades. Lomachenko washes him. Easily. Teofemale would KO Berchelt.

I think you have it backwards. Berchelt always found a way to duck and hide from Loma. It’s okay, when Loma moves down to 130, I’m sure he will be happy to give him a. beating. Easy money for Loma.

Salido is old news. Second pro fight, and Loma offered that clown career money for a rematch. He might be dumb enough to get caught stealing beer from a convenient store but Salido knew how it would end. He chose the cowards way out and ran. A fitting end for Salido.

Expect nothing less from the losers and haters who spew that crap. They will never give Loma credit no matter what he does. The Tank Davis fans are the funniest and most desperate.

    What?!

Berchelt has been calling Loma out for years now. Loma swerved him at 130. Berchelt is still hoping for his shot at Loma to this day.

As far as Salido. He beat Loma when he was considerably past his prime and Loma was in his physical prime, so of course Salido knew the odds were against him in for the rematch being old AF.

For some people it's not all about the money. Salido retired as the first person to beat Lomachenko. Its Lomachenko who didn't think investing in redemption was worth the risk.

Look, I like Lomachenko. I think he's an exceptional fighter, top 5 P4P, but he definitely gets overrated around here.

Yes it will hurt him. Lopez is vastly inexperienced comparatively speaking & having watched a couple of his fights recently he has poor footwork & low output.. he also has little to no experience against southpaws & high level technicians.. he's obviously a more natural lightweight tho unlike Loma, explosive heavy-handed and brash but other than that Loma should not be losing to a guy like this.. even at 32. If Loma loses i'll have no excuses for it, it will just be a case of it is what it is. I do think people are getting a little carried away with Lopez' power tho.. I mean we've been shown since time immemorial that power can be negated, just some recent examples that spring to mind Fury Wilder, Usyk Gassiev, Bivol Smith.. is Lopez really the big punching machine they are making him out to be or was it just another case of a Daniel Jacobs v Quillin again.. demolishing a guy in spectacular fashion but not ultimately a measure of your OVERALL power punching prowess. We'll see anyway, rooting for Loma, picking him to win, but if Lopez beats him then Fairplay.
