Lara is highly over rated. Throws two punches. Jab, and left cross. Very little punch variety. Below average power.

 

Their defensive styles are slightly different. Lomachenko uses his gloves more to block, while Rigondeaux uses more head and upper body movement to slip, bob and weave. Both have great footwork. Rigondeaux is often at a significant size disadvantage in the ring, so he uses the punch variety that works for him. That pawing right hand to disrupt the opponents rhythm, and that power left hand that the opponent knows is coming, but can't do anything about. Rigondeaux does mix in an occasional uppercut or hook as well, depending on the opponent. Lomachenko on the other hand, has been bigger than most of his opponents, he was even bigger than Walters in the ring. You can take more chances when you have the physical advantage in there. Lomachenko uses more punch variety as you stated. Rigondeaux has more power, but both are great technical fighters. In my opinion beating guys up with just two punches, while being smaller in height and weight then all of your opponents is more impressive technically. I'm a fan of both though. Too bad that Arum din't put forth a serious offer to make the fight a reality when they were both open to it.

 

At 130 Floyd schools that boy. I say Lara vs Mayweather is more competitive due to Floyd not having the size advantage
