If he loses to someone with an almost 15 inch reach advantage who will be about 20lbs bigger on the night with the weigh-in taking place at an obscene time to allow Haney to rehydrate, I wouldn’t think any less of Lomachenko.
I hate when people say this crap. Why we got to overvalue losses. Losing to a good fighter doesn’t mean anything more than that guy who beat you was better. fans act like a loss negates everything you’ve ever done in the ring Imagine if mma fans were like this. They’d have missed out on so many great fights. Because in MMA a loss is just a loss. Not the end of ever. Loma a great fighter win or lose.
i rate him like i do pac at welter. they are outside their weight and their success is a testament to how good they are, that guys their size cant compete with them.
An Hypejob? After what he has already accomplished? He's already a future Hall Of Famer FFS. You're obviously a cuck.
You have to be crazy to think that lomachenko is a hypejob, no matter if he wins or loses tonight. And I am by no mean a fan of lomachenko. Not even close to it.
He's still a Hall of Famer that had a very good career if he loses but they should have never marketed him as one of the greatest of all time. You can only say that about a fighter when he is near the end of thier career. They started marketing him like that way too early. If he loses that means he has also lost to Lopez and Haney which were the two best fighters he has fought. It doesn't mean he's a bum just that they should have never marketed him as such.
I cant see how loma qualifies as a hypejob at this point of his career even if he loses If he loses then he lost, that's that. Just another boxing weekend
Do you mean will I think anything less of him if he loses to a guy who has a longer reach by almost 6 inches and is almost 11 years younger? No, I won't.
Look at Rigo vs Loma, where was the "bigger" man. He clowned Rigo. This was a very, very close fight against a bigger and younger fighter.
